The location was excellent with close views and walks from the coast.

We really wanted to love it, but there were some problems from the start. First of all, there was no flexibility to cancel or change the dates. Even though my credit card was used to book the room. We were required to bring pay the full amount in cash at check in. The key was not at the property but at another location, a completely different town at a completely different hotel and business. There was a bad stink when we walked into the property and we had to open all the windows and air it out for a while before the smell went away. There was a full kitchenette, but no dish soap, hand soap provided for washing dishes. Some of the kitchen items were unclean- when we pulled out the cutting board and it was covered in crumbs from the last guests. We also ran out of toilet paper. There was an issue with the toilet flushing. It would run for a bit after flushing and we had to open the back to jiggle the apparatus to get it to run again. There was only one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, with no spare rolls. When we ran out on the second day, we had to buy some toilet rolls at the market. Location is beautiful and there are a few restaurants in town. One was never open, the other was booked up each night and the other was available for dinner on the first night. Otherwise there were few other businesses in town. No cafe and no market. The closest market is a tiny Spaar in Wissant, and a giant supermarket in Calais. The town itself is beautiful and great for bike rides and sunset walks, however if you want a few more amenities, there are other towns nearby that might provide a bit more for guests, especially if you need to buy toilet paper yourself.

Leuk en gezellig

Ligging is ideaal om de streek te verkennen . Zeer mooi onderhouden huisje en twee ruime slaapkamers . Ons verblijf was 2e helft september ( jammer genoeg regen en koud ) en was geen mogelijkheid om de centrale verwarming of een andere bijverwarming te gebruiken , daardoor bleven de handdoeken dan ook steeds nat .

Zu Fuß zum Cap Blanc-Nez

Die Lage ist sehr gut, um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten und Wanderwege zwischen Cap Blanc-Nez und Cap Gris-Nez auf der Opalküste bequem (auch zu Fuß) zu erreichen. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig, außer es ist Wochenende oder ein Feiertag. Die Unterkunft verfügt über einen kleinen, aber schönen und gepflegten Garten auf der Hofseite. Wir hatten Apartment Nr. 4, das sehr hell ist, über großzügige Räume, gute Bettwäsche usw. verfügt.

Die Küche ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hätte besser sein können. Den Schlüssel mussten wir in der nächsten Ortschaft abholen und zurückbringen. Ungewöhnlich war auch die vor Ort angeforderte Onlineüberweisung des Preises. Ob das lokal so der Standard ist, kann ich nicht einschätzen.

Netter kleiner Ort, allerdings ohne viel Infrastruktur. War uns aber bekannt. Sind kurzfristig dorthin gereist, weil wir ein anderes Ferienhaus wegen Unbewohnbarkeit verlassen mussten. Es handelt sich um ein kleines Appartement über 2 Etagen. Nett eingerichtet. 2 Schlafzimmer über Treppe erreichbar. Bad/Toilette nur im EG. Dafür sauber und modern. Zur Steilküste ca. 800m entfernt, gelangt man über einen Fußweg. Ein Lokal ist gegenüber. Richtung Wissant gibt es auf der rechten Seite einen Landwirt mit angeschlossener Schlachterei. Tolles Fleisch von eigenen Rindern. Echt zu empfehlen. Wir kannten den Ort schon von unserer Wohnmobilreise mit Verweilen auf dem ca. 300m entfernten Campingplatz. Die Gegend ist zu jeder Zeit eine Reise wert.

Liegt direkt an der Durchgangsstraße, kann in der Saison ggf. zum Problem werden. Im Nachbarappartement war eine Familie mit kleinen Kindern, da die Schalldämmung nicht so gut ist, hört man einiges. Nur Weingläser, keine Trinkgläser vorhanden. Haben uns welche gekauft. Normalerweise muss der Schlüssel in Sandgatte geholt und zurückgeben werden. Bezahlung auch dort im Hotel. Die Angestellte dort fragte, ob wir mit Karte bezahlen möchten, was ich dann (nach mehrfachem Hinweis auf Barzahlung in der Email) auch tat. Auf dem Rückweg zum Appartement rief dann der Chef an und bestand auf Rückabwicklung!! der Kreditkartenzahlung und Barzahlung...(das mag jeder für sich bewerten)
