The Pope's Window

We loved the location! Short walk to the Vatican. Lots of shops, restaurants and markets nearby. Taxi stand just down the street. Our room was clean and comfortable. We loved the coffee maker! The building has character. Not like an impersonal hotel. The air conditioning was great. Our host was so accommodating with our arrival time and held our luggage so we could sight see. He also was kind enough to arrange transportation for us, from the airport to the Pope’s Window and then to the port for our cruise. This was our second stay. We liked it enough to come back!

We were pleased with everything.

Location. Size of room.

No glass cups for a drink. The cups provided were paper cups and very small, almost just big enough for a double espresso. Kettle provided for tea I guess but nothing to make it in. Maintenance was a bit shabby and some areas scruffy. The shower pressure was good with the hand held hose but the drencher (Top bit) was just a trickle.

Highly recommend The Popes window. The room was basic but all you need for a stay. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was great. We were there when the temperatures were up to 40°c. The room was very clean and cleaned everyday. The host was so easy to contact and answered straight away. There is a good wardrobe, 2 beside lockers with storage space. A safe in the wardrobe and a small fridge. There is also a kitchen in the hall available with a microwave and fridge. This room was only a 5 minute walk from St. Peters square and lots of lovely reasonable restaurants around it. Train station is a 5 minute walk and you can get a bus outside the door. Taxis also outside the door. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Pierpaulo.

Location. Shower head was awesome

A/c didn’t work. Kept turning off. No English tv stations or capability. Bed was not comfortable
