Good value, near to beach and Town, spacious

Near to beach and Naxos town. We had a 2 room apartment, ideal as there were 4 of us so we had a bit of privacy.Facilities to make tea/ coffee etc. Large balcony with large table and 4 chairs. Apartment was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. Good communication with hosts and good Wi-fi.

Great location and great value stay

The location for perfect for our stay - short walk into both the lovely town and also the beach. Well-equipped kitchen and a nice, good sized room overall.

The shower was quite cramped. The hosts, we believe, were living in the rooms next to us in the basement and unfortunately we were kept up at night and woken up every morning by loud talking.

Good price and comfortable accommodation 10 minutes from Naxos port

Value for money small studio - rooms just 7-10 minutes walk from Naxos port and Naxos Chora. The rooms are spacious and you have all the basic things you need. Comfortable bed, a small kitchen if you want to cook, a small fridge to keep your food and drinks cold. A small wardrobe, even a small cute balcony. Staff is very helpful.

1. Sometimes it's a little bit noisy outside, so you can hear people talking or there is some noise from the passing cars and motorbikes. 2. I have red dyed hair and there was some red color on my bathroom toilet. They told me I need to pay for the towel because it cannot be cleaned. I told them that I always wash my towels and sheets to 40-60 degrees (they do the same in hotels, right?) and the color of dyed hair never remains. The lady insisted that I need to pay the towel because it was new and expensive. I was on a hurry to catch the next ferry so I just asked her how much money costs this towel. She asked me for 4.80 euros. A piece of advice: I have dyed hair for more than 15 years and I believe 70% of the women who visit the hotel has / will have dyed hair! If you wash the towels and sheets properly with hot water first you sanitize them and secondly no color remains on them! I never had such a problem before and they never asked me before in any country and in any hotel to pay for a towel that it's not destroyed. Moreover, if the cost of cleaning and possible replacement of the towels and sheets is not calculated and included in the price of the rooms, just increase slightly your prices! Asking from clients to pay extra for the towels they used it's just weird!

We were offered the basement room which was perfect for a small family after accidentally booking a double room. The hotel is quiet, clean and great value for money. The host was awesome and extremely helpful even for the smallest things

Great base for our few days in Naxos 👍

We arrived early and were able to check in. Dropped our bags and went for lunch. Property was very centrally located, 3-4 minutes from main square, 5-10 to the port. Staff were friendly, helpful, obliging and knowledgeable!

Location was great and only a short walk from the port, super close to supermarkets and gorgeous restaurants and the beach. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Beds were comfortable and everything was extraordinarily clean.

Objectionable, dishonest host. The only bad place we have stayed in 10 months in Greece.

We have been travelling in the Greek islands for 10 months now and have not given one single bad review. So this is a first. The host was mind-bogglingy surly. We booked a room with a kitchen (for our 1 night in Naxos), as we do everywhere. Obviously, long-term travelling as we are, we don't eat out all the time. We arrived, there was no kitchen. 'But we booked a room with a kitchen,' I said to the host. 'It doesn't matter.' 'Um doesn't matter to who.' He shrugged. We were perplexed. 'We booked the room downstairs with the kitchen, if you made a mistake...?' 'I didn't make a mistake, I gave it to someone else.' 'But we booked it...' 'It doesn't matter, it's not worth me washing the pots and pans for one night.' 'But why are you taking bookings for rooms with kitchens for 1 night then?' 'It doesn't matter.' Simmering aggression. Time to stop conversation. When we discovered our room had been given to someone else, that we had no kitchen, we said we would try and find somewhere else that had a kitchen, but would decide pretty quickly if we were going to stay, and tell him. The room had been booked on a pay-on-arrival arrangement, although the host had our credit card number, in case we didn't come. Of course we found no other rooms available, hardly a surprise, last-minute, end of June in Naxos town, so we reluctantly said we would stay. This was half an hour later. When we came to paying a little later, it turns out that our host had grabbed 50% of the room fee from our credit card during that half hour, just in case we did find something else, DESPITE the fact that the room he had given us didn't correspond to the room we had booked. Not a sorry, not even a fictitious excuse, which we would have taken, these things happen. Nothing. A man who is seriously in the wrong business. (In answer to the host's response...) We weren't shown any other rooms.

Everything was better than expected

Kapetanos exceeded all our expectations. Super clean. Spacious kitchen, well equipped for cooking your own meals, as we did sometimes. Lovely powerful hot shower. The terrace is amazing. It's not overlooked at all, and is such a peaceful haven to return to after a busy day! And has lovely views of the sea AND the hills.

Good value but I probably won’t stay there again.

The hotel was very close to Naxos town, making it easy to get to shops, restaurants, bars and the port. It was in a fairly quiet area and only a short walk to the beach.

The room itself was pretty small but had adequate room for sleeping. There was a small kitchen area with fridge and tea making facilities. However the bathroom was very small with the shower in one corner, I found it hard to move around to shower without getting caught up on the curtain. I’m relatively slim!!!!

Naxos is a great holiday island, I'd fully recommend visiting but just book elsewhere.

Location was a short walk to the beach and shops

Small bathroom with only a curtain for the shower made it very hard and messy to use, flooding the bathroom after use. Also no cutlery, utensils or kettle (supposedly taken out due to coronavirus but couldn't it just be cleaned like everything else?) Misleading pictures, lead me and my partner to believe we had a room with sea view. We asked the host about it but he explained that the picture was from a different room (there is only one room with sea view and it is not specified which room, apparently a triple or quadruple bedroom) Instead we were put right next to the slamming doors in the main entrance. Everything else was generally alright, had no major hang ups considering it was a back street, basic, cheapish hotel. Up until leaving... Honest room review put aside none of the afore mentioned issues came close to the aggressive and unneeded treatment we then received from the host. After leaving Naxos, the host privately messaged me regarding my average and honest rating score, threatening to report me and my partner to booking.com with false accusations of unacceptable behaviour and aggression. Follow up conversations were then had with the host calling us 'stupid' and generally acting in a completely unprofessional and immature manner. I fully expect a response to this review, as per the many responses that the host leaves on other comments, clearly struggling to take on any form of fair and constructive criticism. As much as me and my partner enjoyed our time in Naxos, the experience with the hotel and the host left a bitter taste, I'd recommend coming to the island but would avoid the hotel, it just isn't worth the unnecessary hassle.

Good location and clean

Big difference between rooms. Luck of the draw if you’re by the slamming front door, or if you have a nice balcony. Very basic - no kettle/cups/cutlery. No way to eat at home, even a snack or make a tea. Was disappointed to have such a lacklustre balcony after seeing only beautiful ones with nice outlooks in the photos
