The bathroom with private bathing available was an excellent surprise that I wasn't aware of. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and hosts hospitable with great recommendations

I knew it was a share bathroom before I arrived, but sometimes it took a while wait for access

Beautiful quiet ryokan in an excellent location for visiting Kanazawa-jo and Kenroku-en, and in close proximity to the bars and restaurants of downtown. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the check-in was thorough. Loved the private onsen, so relaxing!

The single occupancy room is small, but that didn't matter to me!

A lovely traditional ryokan. It felt like staying in a converted home- a long standing family business. It is simple, calm and clean. It has two lovely shared bathrooms which have onsen baths. They can be used by 1 person or several people (up to 3) at a time depending on your preferences/ situation. Local roasted tea stem tea was provided with a flask of hot water every day, alongside fresh towels. A simple dressing gown style robe is also provided for your stay. It usefully has a washer & dryer for use at certain times of day, (although in great demand) and racks were provided as an alternative drying method. Quiet in a great central location - easy access to the bus routes to the station and key sites. Friendly helpful family staff. They both received and helped send on our luggage and provided recommendations for local restaurants. The one we went to was tiny, but so local - the chef /owner had been there for 60+ years & the food was delicious!

Nothing. It isn’t trying to be anything other than an authentic stay in a traditional ryokan. As long as you accept it is more like a bed and breakfast (the latter is optional) than a “hotel” you will have a lovely time, as we did.

Very traditional Japanese style hotel.

They don’t have slope and stairs. Only public bathroom and shower rooms.
