Nice place but dirty on arrival no clean sheets

One of the worst places we’ve stayed.

We loved the fact the garden was a building site and we kept having building materials outside our door.

Very small. Boiler is so loud during the night and situated right outside the hanging beads (the door) for the bedroom. Can’t stand in the shower unless you’re under 5”5. The light switch is behind the fridge in the kitchen. At least make some effort if you’re going to rent out a property

Terrible Stay – Misleading Listing - Unprofessional Hosts

Our stay at this property was a complete disappointment. The listing photos were totally misleading—the place was far smaller, poorly maintained, and had a nauseating smell throughout. The sofa was broken and unusable, and the boiler made constant, loud noise that shook the walls and repeatedly woke us up at night. It even showed an F2 error, which we reported with a video. On our last day, the hosts showed up unannounced at 9:20 a.m. with workers who replaced the boiler from morning until afternoon, leaving us without water or heating and ruining the end of our stay. There was also nonstop construction noise coming from the property itself every single day, including weekends, making it impossible to relax. The outdoor area shown in the photos was another deception. What looked like a private garden was actually a tiny communal space covered by a full roof, filled with fake plants, with no air or sky visible—more like a small enclosed cage than a garden. To make things worse, really dodgy people from the front flat were constantly occupying this space, making it feel anything but private. When we asked for at least a refund for the last day, the hosts refused—unless we agreed to leave them a 5-star review. I don't know how they got the good reviews they have! Whatever they reply, don’t believe them. Renting this place is at your own risk. Seeing is believing, and unfortunately, what you’ll see is nothing like the listing. I cannot recommend this property to anyone. On top of that the neighbourhood itself felt unsafe.

Convenient and comfortable stay for a very reasonable price.

Well-located 12 minutes drive from the centre of Bristol, it was well-equipped with everything you could need for a short stay and the hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming. It was also very quiet which you certainly wouldn’t get in the city centre and free parking on the street right outside which you DEFINITELY can’t find in Bristol!

Nothing. If I’m going to be picky then I would have liked sharper knives in the kitchen but that’s certainly not a deal breaker and if you didn’t want to cook, there are any number of takeaways around.

As a holiday let, there were no toiletries, no kitchen basics like salt, also noisy parties nearby , and a Was a super rough area. Don’t venture out at night. SUPER Overpriced for a converted garage

Lovely little one bed apartment - clean and comfy.

Lovely apartment. Clean and tidy. Comfy bed. WiFi available and smart TV to log into / out of apps. Fridge, cooker, microwave and toaster/kettle. Lovely little living room with sofa pull out bed. Comfy for watching TV in the evening. The bed was lovely and comfy, and slept well. An outdoor communal area with table and chairs, we didn't make use of this but in the warmer months / summer can see it being quite a nice place to chill having a couple of drinks etc.

Shower room was a little on the drafty side from the hole in the wall where the extractor fan is. Nothing on the outside to stop the draft. Other than this small issue which may not bother others, the apartment was clean and comfy. Would recommend.

The apartment was a perfect size for a solo or even 2 people. Mary, the owner, is extremely sweet and helpful. Originally there was only a refrigerator (no freezer) in the apartment. I had an ice pack I needed to keep frozen for traveling with insulin. Mary and her husband bought and delivered a refrigerator/freezer to the apartment on the second day of my stay! It was extremely thoughtful and very accommodating. This will be very useful for future lodgers.

The mattress was very uncomfortable and seemed old. The bathroom was small and water leaked out under the shower curtain making a mess in the very cramped bathroom. It’s a great location for people who have a car but taxis were expensive to get into town.

A home away from home

Great location with easy access to the city centre, either by car or bus (walking takes a little longer obviously). It's nice and tucked away with a decent amount of parking spaces. There were two of us. One in the bedroom and one on the sofa bed. Both were very comfortable. The bedroom was very beautiful too. In short, it was (as advertised), a home away from home. Very happy with the property.

A secret gem in a beautiful garden.

There are so many things to like about this property that it won't all fit here, so one must check it out, you won't be disappointed. To begin with, the owners on arrival, couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful, nothing was a bother to them, the secret garden dining area to the right as you open the door, the layout of the home was perfect. I have never been in a holiday home that had absolutely everything you could ask for. The bedding and linen, the softest quilts ever, better than the ones I have at home, the fully fitted kitchen and all the goodies that were waiting for you. A very quiet and safe area, close to all. Definitely will repeat when back in Bristol. thank you Mary and Adam for all.
