Trevlig personal vid incheckningen. God mat i restaurangen samt bra service. Rummet var jättefint och trevligt ( i slottet) samt härliga sängar. En väl tilltagen frukosten med varm o kall mat. Omgivningen är fantastiskt rofylld.Ett ställe som vi gärna kommer tillbaka till.

We broke up a long journey across Sweden with a night in this special place, and were so glad we did - the setting is like a fairytale. The food (we had dinner and breakfast) was exceptional, and our 2 year old loved exploring the gardens and walking down to the lake. The staff were lovely and welcoming - we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. We were in the annex which was quite basic but cosy and comfortable and good value for money.

Personal preference (especially as I’m pregnant!) but we found the beds very soft

Frukosten var variationsrik och bra. Fin och lugn miljö och bra ordning. Saknade väl bara lite bär till yoghurt.

Kunde varit några sittplatser utanför rummet och kanske ett kylskåp att förvara kallt vatten nu när det var så varmt

Overall it's a great place, but I think it's very much a summer destination. This time of year (late March) there is not much to do, the gardens and tress are all sleeping, so nothing is growing, so there is not so much to do.

The breakfast and hotel overall both have EXYREMELY high ratings, which I think are much higher than reality. It's definitely not a bad place to stay, but the breakfast is average at best, 'American style' pots of coffee which were always cold, and buffet food that was good, but certainly not "exceptional" as the ratings state. Our beds were also very soft which we found uncomfortable and there is very little in the surrounding areas, so other dining options are very limited.
