Musa Villas and Bungalows Gili Air

Musa Villa was a lovely stay! We loved the breakfast and pool and proximity to the beach. Staff were amazing and so knowledgeable and willing to help in any sense. I would stay here again 100% and also recommend to others. We had a large group between multiple bungalows and it was comfortable and easy for us to manage. Thank you Musa!!! So beautiful

The whole atmosphere at Musa was really nice. The Staff was genuine and very kind. We felt a bit sad leaving! Our family room was really big which was comfortable for our family. Our 2-year-old had a wonderful time playing with one of the employees' daughter Anni and still talks about it regularly. Employee of the year ;) Breakfast was excellent and very laid back - with nice fruit platters, great coffee and excellent pancakes (grandma's recipe, recommend!) Pool was nice and clean. We stayed as a family in a house with two large beds. In reality, the beds weren’t actually that large. My husband had to sleep diagonally (he is 1.9 m tall), and even my toes hung over the edge of the bed (I am 1.6 m). That said, the beds were comfortable. Note: the bed only has a sheet — if you want a blanket, you need to ask for one. This is a rustic stay — the house is built very simply. There is only one layer of wooden boards and that’s it. There are gaps between the boards, around the doors and windows. All outside sounds come through as if they were right next to you. Even rainfall can be quite loud. It didn’t bother me, but I think it’s important to know. Luckily, it is a very quiet area and there was no construction going on. So if the other hotel guests are also quiet, it’s perfectly fine. There is a kiosk and a beach nearby. The beach has waves and coral, so water shoes are definitely needed. Walking toward the main street and the harbor takes about 15–20 minutes, depending on your pace. By bike, max 10 minutes. On site, you can rent bikes, do laundry, and the hotel staff help you with any questions — Anna is very helpful and speaks excellent English! Breakfast is in good size and nice! We were traveling with a 3-year-old, who got to play with Anna’s child on site, which he really enjoyed — a lovely surprise upon arrival 🙂

Although the overall stay was pleasant and enjoyable, the general impression of the hotel was that it could use some refreshing. It’s a beautiful, nature-close place, but it feels a bit tired.
