The people that worked there are very kind. The breakfast was really traditional and had amazing flavour.
There wasn’t anything wrong with the accommodation.

Super friendly staff, great location and the late check in was easy. It's about a 10 minute walk right to Jemaa el-Fnaa. The roof top terrace is nice and cool, and the pool in the middle was nice and peaceful. It's cheap and cheerful and if you just want a clean bed and bathroom nearby to the medina, this is it.
The room was a bit smaller and older than the pictures implied. Supplied toiletries were a bit lacking, but it wasn't a deal breaker. With 6 of us it was super pokey and we had no space, but you get that with kids. Breakfast wasn't included, a €5 per person extra, but that's what it will cost you out in the medina anyway, so not a massive issue. Bathroom was a bit old, but clean and workable. Gotta be strategic withs showers as hot water runs out in the morning. But, as I said it's a cheap and cheerful Riad where you get everything you need and nothing you don't. It's a clean and convenient bed near the medina for a great price, so there is value.

Nice staff, location was great.
It was hard to showered without a shower curtain but the tub was big. It’s a different setup than what I am used to.

There wasn't anything wrong with the riad but after many years of travelling in different standards of acommodation, I would say this was an up market hostel with private rooms. Perfect for young travellers who want somewhere affordable to stay but want something a bit up marker from a typical hostel. After travelling to Morocco for several years, it was definitely missing that magic and hospitality which so many other riads provide so beautifully. Most places offer Moroccan tea for instanced and are keen to give directions. We wouldn't have even known what Moroccan tea tasted like had we not been before. We did have a cockroach in our room which didn't shock us too much but may shock others and the man did request us to pay cash rather than card (which hadn't been stated in the booking and meant I got a large fee for taking cash out). As a small group of women, it was surprising the lack of support given Marrakech can be quite overwhelming for female travellers. I was actually spat on by a local close to the riad who became very aggressive with us and whilst I know this is a one off event and does not reflect Marrakech at all, I feel my experience of the beautiful city would have been ruined had this riad been the only one I stayed in, combined with that experience too.
Lack of hospitality and welcome. Also didn't cater for my dairy allergy.
