Riad Yu Yu

It's a small and sweet Riad. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but tasty. It has a comfortable terrace with a kitchen you can use — perfect for relaxing in the evening. The dorm also has lockers that are a good size, so you can safely store your stuff. Great value for money, and centrally located.

It's a 4-person dorm room, and there's no air conditioning — which isn't ideal for Marrakech heat, especially with several people sharing the space. There's a fan, but it's not really enough to cool the room down properly. This could definitely be an area for improvement. Also, this is a matter of personal preference, but I found the mattress quite hard, and it hurt my back a bit. The pillow was also very thin and low for my liking.

A fantastic place to stay with beautifully decorated rooms and excellent air conditioning. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooftop cat was a lovely bonus! Breakfast was delicious, and being able to use the kitchen to cook or warm up food was really convenient. Breakfast was lovely and a great way to start each day. The location was excellent—just a short walk from the souks, with plenty of shops nearby. I often returned after 10pm and always felt perfectly comfortable. It offers amazing value for money and an authentic experience without sacrificing comfort. I honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I returned.

If I am being really picky. There was also a slight gap around the door, but it didn’t affect my stay at all. The doors could be upgraded to feel a little more secure and private. However, this was only a minor issue and didn’t take away from an otherwise excellent stay.

Riad Yu Yu was very nice, calm, and beautiful, with lots of plants. Anouar is a very kind host, and it was nice chatting with him. Thank you for having me — it was a pleasure.

It was quite hot, as the temperature outside was around 43°C., and even though there was a fan in the shared room, it was still too hot for me.

Friendly staff, good location, nice courtyard.

I didn't like the humidity in the room, it was cold and dark. In the morning, you could hear the birds chirping very loudly and the other residents of the riad talking, which kept me awake. Breakfast was ridiculous (one fried egg, bread and coffee or tea). We didn't get any meat, vegetables or fruit. We got the same poor breakfast both mornings. There was very little space in the room, our things didn't fit. I would recommend booking a simple hotel - it will be cheaper and much more comfortable.
