Great place to stay

Great location as base for exploring surrounding area just a short walk to train/bus stations, as well as to grocery store Coop and many restaurants around. quiet with beautiful inner courtyard. There's someone at reception during the day, except weekend. The host was very quick to respond. There's laundry room at the property with a metered washer and dryer which was convenient. Just ask for coins at reception. Note that each coin will operate the washer or dryer for 30 minutes so just use more coins as necessary. Just a note for those coming in summer months, there's no aircon, didn't matter when I was there.

We were grateful to have this friendly, safe place to stay while visiting Locarno.

This place is perhaps a best-kept secret in Locarno as it affords closeness to the Piazza Grande, is surrounded by terrific restaurants in tiny, refreshing side streets, privacy inc,using an inner courtyard only for guests of the various rooms - each with their own outdoor courtyard table and chairs - all this managed by an extremely friendly and responsive manager Lorenzo! What more can one say?

The heat can be an issue in mid summer.

Clear instructions to enter the property, spotless apartment and well equipped kitchen. Location was very central but on a quiet street. Beautiful terrace and well cared for plants, trees.

I enjoyed five nights at this lovely property in a great location.

The location is right in the middle of the central piazza area, very close walk to the station and easy to get to bus lines and the ferry. I loved my room, with one side facing into the beautiful private courtyard and the other overlooking the cute shopping street outside. Very nice kitchen, comfortable furniture. Barbara and Urs were so helpful in giving me advice about my trains, and very friendly and warm (comfortable communicating in English). I had my own table in the courtyard. Although there were other guests it stayed very quiet (doesn’t seem to be a party district) and I slept well every night. I would very happily stay here again in the future.

I had trouble getting let in, but it wasn’t their fault because my American phone wasn’t working in Europe so I couldn’t contact them. If you are able to call it should be fine.

Wonderful apartment with great facilities, great hosts, highly recommended.

Nice location in the Old Town. Very gracious and inquiring hosts, helpful with everything. Quiet, with shutters to keep the light out for those needing darkness to sleep. Quite spacious which we really appreciated. Everything was well maintained and clean. Nice view from the windows. Excellent kitchen facilities.

It obviously gets quite hot during the summer there. Thankfully they have a couple of floor fans to help compensate for a lack of AC. We were willing to make this trade-off for the other benefits that come with the apartment. Washing machine is in a shared utility room, so a bit of planning is required to use it. But nothing that is not easily manageable. We never encountered a wait time.

Was a lovely week in Locarno!

The apartments are in a very calm street and are in a (eco)building with an internal garden. The owners, Barbra and Urs, were always very nice and helpful. The studio was very clean and had all the installations (fridge, hot plates, hood) and utilities for cooking, if needed. This is very important for allergic persons.

The studio seems sometimes too small, most probably due to some big furniture like two big sofas, which we never use during the hot summer week of our stay.

It's a very nice and cozy place on a quiet street close to the center. I found everything I wanted (even baking paper =) ). The hosts are very nice people, I had all the information, tips and a good mood.

Die Lage ist Top und das Studio gemütlich eingerichtet. Vom Bahnhof kann man zu Fuss gehen oder mit dem Bus.

Die Lage ist sehr zentral, in der Altstadt. Wir (ein Ehepaar) waren in einem Kurzurlaub und hatten ein kleines Studio. Es war perfekt eingerichtet. Etwas klein , aber zweckmässig und sehr sauber.

Habe viele tolle Wanderungen gemacht und abends die ruhige Lage genossen.

Hatte kurzfristig gebucht und bin früher angekommen. Der Inhaber hat mir eine persönliche Nachricht geschickt und mitgeteilt, dass das Studio früher bereit wäre. Zudem ein Video gemacht, wie ich den Schlüssel rausholen kann. Sehr freundlich; herzlichen Dank!

Un endroit bucolique où j'ai hâte d'y retourner.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié la résidence, avec des couleurs chaudes, une belle décoration, un endroit magnifique avec beaucoup de cachet. Très bien situé dans la vieille ville, proche de tout, facilement accessible à pied depuis la gare. Entouré de jolies boutiques, de bars et de restaurants, il est très facile d'y passer de bons moments !

Le bruit de travaux et de nettoyages nous a réveillé de bonheur le matin.... ceci nous a forcé à nous lever afin d'aller visiter cette magnifique localité !

Die Wohnungen sind wunderbar angelegt mit einen schönen Innenhof und eigenen Kaffee. sehr nahe am Zentrum aber doch weg vom ganzen. Habe ich so noch niergends erlebt.

Lage Top - Preis/Leistung Flop!

Top Lage. Für diese sehr zentrale Lage in Locarno nahe an der Piazza Grande erfreulich ruhig. Ruhige Seitengasse, dennoch äusserst zentral, super Restaurant gleich unten dran, zu Fuss relativ nahe beim Parkhaus. Unglaublich schöner Innenhof mit Palme. Sehr stimmig und gibt gutes Holiday-Feeling. Nette Gäste. Sehr Familienfreundlich. Wenn man keine Lust hat selber Frühstück zu machen hat es unten ein gutes Kaffee mit Croissent. Gerade wenn man mit mehreren Kollegen/Freunden/Familie an einem gemeinsamen Ort Urlaub machen will, dann ist diese Unterkunft äusserst praktisch. Zweckmässig eingerichtet. Küche hat alles was man braucht.

Bett viel zu weich. Beide Klimaanlagen defekt. Techniker wurde rasch aufgeboten. Dieser hat auch festgestellt, dass die Klimaanlagen nicht kühlen. Ventillator vorbeigebracht, behoben wurde das Problem allerdings nicht, obwohl genügend Zeit vorhanden gewesen wäre. Defektes Dachfenster. Wenn man 10 Tage übernachtet und für 10 Tage ein Parktikett über den Eigentümer kauft bekommt man 3 Tickets für 3 Tage und 1 Ticket für 1 Tag. Noch komplizierter geht es kaum noch. Wenn man mit dem 3-Tagesticket nach 3.5 Tagen aus dem Parkhaus will, muss man nachzahlen um rauszukommen und ist folglich teurer, als wenn man ganz normal ins Parkhaus ginge (16.--/Tag reduzierter Preis via Eigentümer vs. 19.90/Tag normaler Preis im Parkhaus). Obwohl klar notifiziert ist, dass alle Steuern und Gebühren inklusive sind, wurde die Kurtaxe nachträglich erhoben. Hier wird nicht offen und transparent gespielt. Trotz mehrfacher Rückfragen dazu, keine Antwort/Lösung weder von Booking noch vom Eigentümer. Das Ticino-Ticket kostet extra und hat wenig Added Value. Für 170.--/Nacht stimmt Preis/Leistung nicht. Parkhaus keinesfalls dazubuchen. Ebensowenig das Ticino-Ticket. Wer auf Preis/Leistung achtet sollte anderswo buchen. Wem wichtig ist mit Freunden zentral zu logieren und bereit ist Abstriche zu machen go for it.

Wir kamen rechtzeitig, d.h. vor 18.00 Uhr an. Daher war das kein Problem.

Unser Zimmer bot keinerlei Privatspäre, d.h. es war vom Gang und anderen Zimmern aus einsehbar. Man musste also trotz Innenhof immer die Storen schliessen.

J’ai apprécié - la disponibilité et flexibilité du personnel quant à notre heure d’arrivée ainsi que les indications pour le check-in. - la proximité de la piazza grande tout en restant au calme. Emplacement bordé de restaurants et petits café. - L’aménagement de l’appartement, la propreté, une litterie confortable, le petit balcon pour les apéros - Le Ticino ticket a été très utile pour nos déplacements en bateaux et bus. - Le parking à seulement 5 minutes - Le café Moka et leurs délicieux petits déjeuners

Rien. Peut-être un petit plus, ce serait de recevoir le plan de la place de dépose pour nos bagages avant notre arrivée et non de le trouver sur la table dans l’appartement.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Strassenseite hin, etwas laut, aber zum Glück habe ich einen guten Schlaf. Was gefehlt hat, war eine Tür zum anderen Zimmer.
