An unpleasant experience, I do not recommend it.

Hotel renovated on the outside, in a good location near the beach.

The hotel was built in the 1980s and definitely does not meet 4-star standards; in reality, it’s somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. Although the exterior has been renovated, the room furnishings are very old. The toilet seat was almost yellow, and there was mold in the shower. At reception, they keep guests’ passports and personal documents... I haven’t seen that in at least 20 years. Breakfast offers a decent basic selection, but in an environment straight out of 1990. There are certainly far better accommodation options in the area.

The location

The staff was rude, the beds are uncomfortable, everything is very very old. The breakfast is very normal, not incredible as the description says. The staff entered in my room without even calling the door, while I was sleeping.

Pleasant, but place for improvement

1. Staff was very good, friendly and useful 2. One of the best sandy beaches 3. Sea water very nice and warm 4. Though meals were a la carte (not buffet) , the food was good and healthy and this system avoids wastage 5. We were allowed to go to the room as soon as we arrived, though the check-in was at a later time.

1. Breakfast selection poor 2. No upfront prices for drinks, including water (found out on the final bill) 3. Though advertised as having private beach, all sunbeds had to be paid for per day/half-day (not cheap!) 4. Only one swimming pool on site with only few sunbeds available 5. No tv programme in English , nor English channels 6. 1 glass of coke was 4.50 euros (the one from concentrate) 7. Limited time for meals (only one hour for lunch and dinner)

Exceptional

I have been to Lignano for one night as part of a bigger journey that I am doing across Northern Italy. I choose Hotel Meridianus for the good prices that I saw and by comparing the offers of similar hotels in the area, and it actually exceeded my expectations in terms of quality! The location is very quiet and close to the beach, the staff is friendly and professional, they really care about their guests! The breakfast was great and my room was very comfortable. Quality/price ratio is excellent.

Bis auf den fehlenden Parkplatz alles gut.

Super Lage, nah zum Strand (ca. 5min) und in ca. 10min. ist man im Zentrum von Pineta. Personal sehr freundlich. Frühstück sehr gut.

Wir haben keinen Parkplatz direkt bei der Anlage bekommen, uns wurde gesagt, dass es genug kostenfreie Parkplätze rund ums Hotel gibt... nachdem wir 20min. lang keinen gefunden haben, mussten wir dann einen Parkplatz nehmen, der 1€/h kostete und mussten dann am Abend das Auto nochmal umparken - zum Glück war dann ein einziger kostenfreier Parkplatz (weiße Linien) frei! Es gab auch kein gratis Wasser auf dem Zimmer, wie ich es von anderen Hotels in Italien gewohnt bin und die Mini Bar war nicht befüllt, was uns aber egal war. In der Duschablage befanden sich leider Haare.

Come sentirsi a casa , torneremo sicuramente

La posizione decisamente tranquilla e nel verde , la piscina , la spiaggia riservata dell’albergo a circa 300 metri e il servizio di pensione completa , con menù vario e porzioni abbondanti , di buona qualità , nel raggio di circa 1 km si trovano negozi di vario genere , aperti fino alle 23:30 .

Hatten schöne 3 Tage in Lignano

Die Einhausung (Glaswand) um den Pool. Die Zimmernachbarn waren nachts sehr laut.

Okay aber für diesen Preis zu teuer

Alles war sehr sauber. Das Zimmer war groß genug und der Balkon auch. Es gab genug Stauraum für unsere Sachen. Das Bett war bequem. In der Nähe gibt es einige Geschäfte und der Strand ist auch einfach und schnell zu erreichen. Die Mitarbeiter im Hotel waren alle sehr nett und bemüht. Das Früchstück war vielfälltig und von allem war genug da.

Das Abendessen als 4 Gänge Menü war nicht so besonders. Es gibt zwar genug Auswahl, aber die Qualität ist mittelmäßig. Man kann nur zwischen 19:30 und 20:30 essen gehen. Die armen Kellner waren dann sehr unter Stress. Die Duschkabine im Zimmer war sehr klein. Parkplätze in der Umgebung sind schwer zu finden. Die ausgeborgten Fahrräder waren alt und hatten teilweise kein Licht.
