The location was excellent, very central to most of the locations we were planning to see. We could be in Oltrarno within 8 minutes & Santa Croce within 15 minutes. The Hotel is opposite Strozzi Palace in a very lovely & exclusive shopping precinct. We were allocated Room 401, which faced Strozzi Palace, luckily the room had heavy drapes to block the street lighting. Complimentary water both flat & fizzy were refreshed daily, the space had a Nespresso coffee maker, complimentary snacks & bathroom supplies. The hairdryer was a Dyson, lovely! The bed was large & very comfortable. Breakfast was included & was very well prepared with lots of options. The Hotel Staff were delightful & very helpful. Only one drawback, you do have to use stairs to access the building but an elevator is available once inside. No, the stairs cannot be completely avoided. Staff were onsite to assist with luggage.

The plumbing in our bathroom gurgled a bit. It didnt bother us though, as it couldnt be heard if the bathroom door was closed.

Location was generally good. Right in the centre and all main attractions accessible on foot as well as dining venues. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

A few things: (1) it was on the main strip which I didn’t appreciate and so it was very noisy at night when trying to sleep; (2) the shower was tiny and I could barely move in it - noting that I’m a small woman; (3) my door wouldn’t close properly. As I was travelling alone this made me feel quite unsafe. I mentioned this on three occasions but I’m not sure what action was taken during my stay to fix the door.
