Majestic View Home

The view really was Majestic and the beds were super comfy! Loved the multiple bathrooms and that there was washing facilities.

I imagine it could be very cold in the depths of winter as there is only one aircon unit for the main living and kitchen given the fireplace doesn’t work, but the heating in each room was excellent.

View was outstanding, large rooms, heated bathroom floors . Comfy beds. Large garage.

Interior is showing a bit of wear and tear, We were told we were not allowed to use the fireplace the day before arriving which was disappointing. Only 2 coffee pods supplied for a 4 night stay, not a big deal.

Great location. Spacious, two huge decks. Double garage and heated bathroom floors big pluses. View can’t be beaten!

All toilets a bit faulty. The one in the main ensuite only stopped running if you turned the water supply off. Dryer also seemed to not be working, nor the garage remote. A few coffee pods for the machine would’ve been nice.

The views are outstanding, it is really interesting to watch the lake activity and comings and goings from the airport. Loved sitting with a Coffee or a Wine and watching outside. The house is conveniently on one level (no stairs), and the rooms are all spacious and each has a personal ensuite. Garage is also spacious - we only had 1 car, but you would comfortably fit 2 large vehicles. Location is excellent (assuming you have a vehicle) - from high on the Queenstown hill you easily drop into town if you head in one direction, and you are well on the way to Frankton if you drop down in the other direction. This works really well.

Sadly, the house is looking unloved inside - and is in need of some overdue maintenance. Ceiling damage has been poorly patched; there are many stains on the very worn carpet; a leaky shower has been left to cause timber rot. Even lightbulbs - approx. 20 blown bulbs through the house have not been replaced leaving rooms dark (esp Kitchen). I notice in the feedback that the fireplace has been out of action for a long time, and still is. Whilst the fridge has been replaced, only a small 3/4 unit has been installed and has left ugly unpainted wall visible around the edges. With a refresh/refurb, this could easily be a premium property - but the current condition let's it down.
