Indigenous homestay - Trek & Local Life

We had an excellent stay. We were lucky enough to take part in rice planting and tofu making with the homestay family, and they provided a friendly and considerate guide who spoke English to take us trekking. The meals were out of this world, and we were so well looked after. We brought lots of luggage and the family helped us with taxis to transport it, and helped us arrange our bus home.

The hosts were wonderful, very kind and welcoming. The place has a beautiful, authentic atmosphere, amazing mountain views, hot water and a private bathroom in the room.

Nothing really. Guests should only remember that this is a rural homestay, not a hotel, so the access road can be steep and things like air conditioning or perfect Wi-Fi should not be expected.

This was hands down the best homestay ever and exactly what I was looking for. Wonderful family that made me feel so welcome and place run by son with his mum and dad who have been living there and working the land all their lives. Stunning scenery we were above the cloud line and views spectacular. Room was spacious, clean and all that I needed. Food plentiful and cooked over an open fire! Got to pet the family water buffalo at his dinner time, pigs, dogs, puppies and chickens all round, such a unique experience. Would definitely come back here and stay with Yien and his family again
