Location is perfect for easy access to sea- front, shops and restaurants.
Owners communication was faultless.
Unable to eat in the property due to my son having OCD, he really didn't want to stay and and couldn't wait to leave. The property was not clean, basics wiped over, but overall filthy, damp and smelly, shower mouldy, floors downstairs and on the stairs are disgusting, had to mop all the floors on ground floor due to the dirt.
Rotten bulb of garlic left in front room decorative bowl. Clump of hair and dirty trays found in fridge. Rips in wallpaper and window netting, ants covering kitchen work surfaces, numerous other issues.
Believe owners turn a blind eye to complaints. When informed of the issues, they made out they were unaware of the problems, yet reading previous reviews, they have been identified on several occasions. Would love to share more photos, but only able to upload 4.
Would never stay again and not worth the price.

The only good thing was the location!!
Myself and 2 sisters were taking my mum for a surprise weekend away, she hadn’t been away for 5 years and was SO excited to go to Weymouth. I am honestly appalled at what we walked into. The entire place is extremely dirty, the ‘cleaners’ evidently did not do a single thing in that house before we arrived. The hand towels they provide are all bleach stained, the tea towel in the kitchen is disgusting. There was rice on the kitchen counter and on the sofa, there was a used sanitary pad in the bathroom bin and a toenail clipping on the bathroom floor, the cupboards and freezer are full of open, half used food?! The dining table cloth is ripped in several places and had the remains of food and someone’s hair stuck to it, the dust is absolutely crazy everywhere. The shower cubicle is tiny and absolutely disgusting, it’s full of mould and limescale, there was no way I could have showered in there, even with shoes on. We questioned wether the bedding had actually been changed as it didn’t look as though it had, when we pulled the cover back we was gobsmacked to find empty chocolate wrappers under the duvet along with a spot of blood, sweat stains and pubic hair (this was on all of the beds not just one) Once we had seen this, we had absolutely no choice but to leave the property at 9pm at night and make the 3.5 hour journey back home. The host at first did apologise (and put all the blame on the cleaners) and offer us 50% back, but after seeing the beds this was not an option. The host did not seem at all shocked by the photos I sent him and didn’t offer for a cleaner to come in and do an actual clean or change the bedding. His apology was far from sincere and I’m so disappointed in that. There is so much more I could write but I would be here all night, I couldn’t have even been paid to stay in this place.

Excellent location….5 minute walk from the beach and the town.
Bathroom and kitchen very nice.
Beds comfortable.
Unfortunately the outside space was not nice, overgrown with weeds. Could have been lovely to sit out there but it just looked like a dumping ground.

Great facilities overall. Great location as it is close to the beach and local pubs etc
Uncomfortable sofa for us older people. Main bedroom could have a dressing table as it has ample room. No shaving socket and mirror for the male visitors.

Location was good although on a busy road.
Opposite train station so good parking available
Unfortunately the house was very tired and in need of decorating throughout.
Kitchen was nice but in need of more equipment as only had one very small burnt frying pan. Very large sofa which was far to big a couple of smaller one would have been more suited. Also the glass in a couple of the windows were blown.
We were well informed of the availability of the house and managed to get in early which was much appreciated.

The property was clean and has everything that was required
The property was tired. Whilst the property was clean, the carpets in particular were very worn - large marks and stains in places. The accommodation was a good price.

plenty of room (there were four of us) and good facilities if you wished to eat in. Great for the beach and the station, loads of local pubs around.
Shower works well but could do with a re vamp and the couch in the front room is way to big to just sit on (you have to lounge on it)

Location was great. Can't fault a 5 minute walk to the beach and all the shops / restaurants, a short walk away. Local Chippy was excellent :)
Don't always like to comment, however, like other comments, the house needs alot of TLC and refreshing. Dampness smell and kitchen units were smelly. Just needs a good up dating, as said so near to the beach.

Location was perfect, town centre very close by and only a short walk to beachfront

The house was beautiful, and the location was absolutely perfect for a girls' night away.
The facilities are fab and the little extra touches were lovely.
We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend.
I wouldn't say it wasn't a dislike at all, but a touch of paint in some places would be the cherry on the top.

Great location next to Weymouth beach and a very short walk into the town centre.
Kitchen was well kitted out with washing machine and yard to hang out washing.
Not negative about the property but a tip for all future residents who need to supplies, try and avoid the Asda across the road if you can. Most expensive shop ever visited!

I was there for only for 1 night, so i can't say much but it had a wonderful Location and it was a spacious house with a parking opposite property (paid £7/day).
Only one small thing: Tv remote control wasnt working properly but as we were not there to watch tv did not bother much about it.

A stones throw is an amazing little home from home literally a stones throw from the beach, it has amazing access to all the attractions of Weymouth with restaurants and bars on your door step
There was nothing to dislike, there were games for the kids to play, books if wanted, loads of utensils in the kitchen if you want to cook, a huge bathroom with bath and separate shower, comfy beds and a huge sofa!

Location excellent, very short walk to the beach and all the local amenities, surrounded by pubs and restaurants, nice size house for visiting family of 6. Nice to have Netflix, plus board games for extra entertainment. A few items to use in the bathroom as well as tea, coffee etc in the kitchen, which was nice. Kids enjoyed the huge comfy sofa! Bathroom a good size with a decent bath and shower and the kitchen had everything you would expect (although a draining board would have been handy!)
Kitchen surfaces and cupboards and downstairs floors were not very clean. Remote control for the TV had been sellotaped together and barely worked. The big downside was the noise at the front of the house and from the next door neighbour. We live in a city so we are used to noise, but the house is right on a main road and it is loud all night. I also got very little sleep the first two nights as the neighbour's TV seems to be on the other side of the double bedroom wall and was on until 2am each night and back on at 6.30am. A few other niggles like having to take bins out with you every time you leave the house and parking being tricky - there is a permit provided for the local roads but we didn't have a chance of getting a space, so used the train station car park across the road, which although close means crossing the busy road with all your luggage/bags/the kids each time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at A Stones Throw to the Beach in Weymouth and I must say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The location of this charming guesthouse is unbeatable, just a stone's throw away from the beach and with stunning views of the sea.
The room itself was clean, comfortable and well-appointed with all the amenities one could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I had a fantastic night's sleep until a loud mouthed seagull woke me up 🙂. I guess it worked as a morning alarm. The decor was tasteful and modern, adding to the overall feeling of relaxation and comfort.
The staff at A Stones Throw to the Beach were incredibly friendly and helpful (although never saw Angela and Jamie personally), making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They were happy to provide info and recommendations, which really enhanced my stay.
Overall, I cannot recommend A Stones Throw to the Beach highly enough. From the location to the accommodations to the staff, everything was simply top-notch. If you're looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Weymouth, this is definitely the place to be!

Great location for a property.
It reminded me straight away of my old student accommodation. A little worse for wear. There was a cook book on a stand in the kitchen. However, you wouldnt want to cook anything. The oven didnt work well, and the pots and pans provided. Disgusting! Parking is not at the property only by permit 'if' you can find room. So parked and paid for railway parking, although I only expect I got that due to time of year. Being asked to take rubbish away with you is a little out of order too.

It was great value for money and a great location, very easy to walk to the beach and town. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked & there was cooking oil, salt & pepper etc. The owners had sorted out a parking permit for us so we could park very close to the house.
There were towels in the bedrooms and a tea towel, soap etc to wash up in the kitchen.
it was a little shabby around the edges but totally what I expected for the price. The kitchen was very clean & well stocked but the pans had seen better days.
