The Guimaraes Pousada is stunningly beautiful, building and gardens, the staff extremely helpful and good natured, and the food, breakfast and dinner, excellent. The sequence of public spaces is extraordinary, yet tranquil as befits a former monastery.

This is a very special place for those who love history, gardens, waterfalls and a very welcoming cat who guides patrons throughout the outdoor spaces. He is a wonderful companion and we will miss him.
