All the rooms are very well designed and located in a fascinating historic building, staff are young, welcoming and available to talk and give advice. Breakfast is good with local pastries, fresh fruit, local ham and chorizo, a fantastic orange juice. And the rooms are not expensive, definitely value for money. Location is at a walkable distance to the main squares of Guimaraes (which is not a big city anyway).
I loved everything. If I have to say something, maybe cappuccino seemed to be made with chocolate rather than coffee and if there are many guests potentially people have to wait for their breakfast because there are not many tables in the breakfast hall. But honestly I really liked the place.

A stunning and atmospheric room in a central location in the city. Ideal! The bathroom looks like a ballroom, with the cutest little toilet bowl ever. But that also adds to the atmosphere. The service is top-notch, the breakfast is delicious, and the location is just around the corner from the city center. Parking wasn't a problem either; we parked a few hundred meters from the venue for very little money.

Location was good for exploring Guimarães and communication via WhatsApp was efficient.
Think the photos make it look a bit better than it is. The hotel feels quite worn out and the room was very average and I found the bed uncomfortable. Breakfast was very average but did the job - arrive early if you want a table inside and before the pastries disappear! Check in was a bit of a faff as the doorbell didn’t work so we had to rely on WhatsApp and when we just wanted to arrive and settle in after a long journey we felt bombarded with information from staff which felt a little intense.
