Gästewohnung Elström

This is a large full-floor apartment with spacious rooms. The living room had comfortable recliners plus a small sofa, while the adjoining primary bedroom had the typical German large bed (2 twins pushed together) and shelves + open closet for clothes storage. The kitchen/dining area is in a large, separate, pretty room perfect for making breakfast or lunch. The bathroom is a good size with large tub and separate corner shower. (My husband suggested a non-slip tub-mat for the shower, and the owners were very receptive to that idea.) There are some good restaurants within a block, as well as grocery stores. It is also close to the neighborhood forest for hiking, running and biking. The tram stop is super close and convenient. We were staying in the neighborhood for a family gathering, and this location was just a few blocks away from our niece’s apartment. It worked out very well, and we would be thrilled to stay there again. The home owners were very pleasant, but I wish I could speak German, so that we could have shared more friendly conversation.

There are a good number of steps (30 - 40?) from below ground level (behind the building) to the 2nd floor. This was not a problem for me, but potential renters should be aware.

The apartment is huge and really well-maintained, super clean. The hosts are super lovely, they met us, showed and explained everything and even gave us a little present for Easter. The location is great too, with easy access to Dresden city centre by both public transport and private car. Some good eating and drinking options are nearby.

The pillows weren't the most comfy

Sehr schöne und saubere Ferienwohnung. Super nette Vermieter und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Alles prima. Man könnte lediglich anmerken, dass uns für einen längeren Aufenthalt eine Spülmaschine fehlen würde und der Preis (gerechtfertigt) dann doch sehr hoch ist.
