We stayed with friends and really enjoyed it! Clean, cozy rooms, quiet atmosphere, and a convenient location—everything we needed was nearby. The staff was friendly and attentive

Clean and spacious studio The studio was spotless and offered plenty of room for a solo traveler.

The only downside was the lack of bathroom storage—there are no shelves for toiletries or a toothbrush, which was a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay!

Clean and cozy hotel with quiet rooms and friendly staff. Comfortable bed, fresh linens, pleasant atmosphere. All essentials provided — hairdryer, Wi-Fi, wardrobe, workspace.

The kettle was dirty — visible limescale and cloudy stains inside, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. Had to boil water twice: first to flush, then to drink.

It was less than average

The bed was comfortable. The mirror was nice. The toilet didn't make much noise.

The shower was the equivalent of getting a hand full of water and sprinkling it above your head. There were a pair of socks left behind the bed. A staff member barged in asking for room service whilst we were still in bed. The walls were so thin we could here footsteps and banging from the top floor.

Ok for the weekend

The room itself was very clean and well equipped.

The communal areas were dirty and not appealing at all. We didn't use them other than waiting 15 minutes for our room on arrival due to this. The double bed in room 1 was like sleeping on fluff, it definitely needs replacing!

This is a good choice of a hotel for staying in Newquay- it has a great location, near shops, post office and train stat

The location was great, right near the beach! The staff was really friendly and kind, and I can’t thank them enough for sending me my charger that I forgot in the room. The rooms were also quite a good size.

The front door could have a better locking system.

Perfect for a short stay, especially with nature and water views.

Stayed for one day — overall great. Room was clean, quiet, good Wi-Fi, fridge included — very convenient. Beach is nearby, nice for a walk, fresh air. Comfortable bed, slept well.

Life is short; don't stay here.

Cleaning staff is doing excellent job. The only staff member I met (Ray) was kind.

The noise at night! The absence of managers. Paying for a triple room where the single bed was broken (base taped together with duct tape) and not usable. Bed got replaced following day, but no manager to talk to, whether in person or on phone. Email responses that could have been written by AI. A real lack of care for the guest. The shouting of drunken young men outside near back of hotel was beyond the pale. Reef Lodge message via email said that Newquay in high season is going to be noisy. Agreed! If you do not like sleep and prefer a hostel vibe, albeit an expensive hostel, then this could be the place for you!

Good stay but apartment needs some TLC

Staff were brilliant and really helpful. Great location and great little apartment. I was worried it would be noisy at night because there were large groups staying in the hostel but it wasn’t too bad at all.

The floors were really dirty in the apartment. There were toe nail clippings on the rug in the main living area. There was no way to sweep the floors ourselves as no brush available. Clean apart from that. The tv in the apartment wasn’t working. The backlight had gone which meant you really couldn’t watch it. Really disappointing as there with our little one. Also freezer unit in fridge was broken.

Location to all amenities and beaches, only 20 min walk to fistral beach too. Easy access, come and go with no issue Clean, fan provided for the room Staff helped with TV issue

We liked the idea of the lounge and it was roomy in there

The room wasn't as good as advertised on the website and the bathroom was a bit smelly and the room was like a blanket of dust so it needed a clean and the beds weren't comfy and the chest of drawers were broke and the room was tight and a bit squished

Very small room with no space to put anything. Had to press a button every 30 seconds to run the shower, which was weak, pulsating and did not drain.
