I stayed in this apartment in May 2025. The reception was open when I wanted it. Suzanne was incredibly helpful during our conversations about what to see and where to go. apartment was on several levels.

The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Florence.
The apartment had all the necessary facilities, warm and very comfortable, furnished with beautiful aesthetics and traditional vintage touches. It truly gave the feeling of staying in an authentic Florentine home.
Highly recommended for family accommodation.
Everything was super

Location.
I didn’t like the loft bedroom and the bathroom being ANOTHER half flight of stairs from the main level. So going to the bathroom in the middle of the night involved going down 1 1/2 flights of stairs and of course back up. Not easy for this 80y/o female. The logistics was not clear in the online otherwise I would not have booked this unit.

The location was perfect - a few minutes from the Duomo, Uffizi. A 15 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio.
The apartment has a built-in kitchen stocked with utensils, plates, fridge, microwave, hot water pot - more than we used. Tale your own tea, coffee, condiments. Rooms are large w/ sitting room/dining room/ kitchen combined. Shower was nice. Truly everything we needed.
The only thing.... we hoped to be able to leave our luggage for a few hours before our train left but couldn't connect w/owner in time to make arrangements so we had to drag baggage for a few hours. We were told too late that we could leave packed baggage in the apartment. Suggest you make arrangements ahead of time. There is not a front desk or place to leave luggage otherwise.
All was good!

Amazing location. Apartment was nice, a good size. Bedrooms especially comfortable, and the whole place was immaculate. Member of staff at reception was very helpful.

Convenient location as it’s walking distance to all the sights. Big bedrooms and comfortable beds when you’re tired from walking at the end of the night. Very accommodating to our 9 month old baby as there was a crib and high chair available as we requested.
You could hear everything from outside in the bedroom that is located near the Main Street. There are a few bars in the area and late at night when people are going home it’s very loud.

Suzanne was a really helpful host who recommended a couple of fantastic restaurants to us and also the best place to buy leather bags.
The apartment was exceptionally clean for an old building, the beds were huge and very comfortable and having a kitchen and lounge/dining area was great.
There was even a washing machine if you were staying for a longer time.
Also in a great location in the heart of things.
We will definitely recommend it to friends x

The location was fantastic & Suzanne was very accommodating & helpful.
The only mild annoyance was the stair threshold to move from the living area to the bedroom & bath. It was just one of those quirks that happen in a renovated historic property though.

The apartment was comfy and in good location. The laundry was a bonus feature to wash clothes on longer holidays. Suzanne was very helpful with taxis and extra toilet rolls.
It woke my partner on midnight toilet runs as our bed was on mezzanine level and hard to navigate without lights.

This is the most beautiful apartment we’ve stayed in in Florence- and this was my 5th visit. We had the 3 bedroom and it was huge! It was so comfortable and decorated beautifully. The location was perfect- right in the middle of everything. Our host, Suzanne was a gem. She welcomed us and was so friendly and informative. She even secured us dinner reservations at HER favorite restaurant which was incredible! I will always try to stay here when I’m in Florence!
Nothing- it was perfect!

- Our family of 3 adults stayed for 3 nights in a 2-bedroom apartment called Elena. We unfortunately arrived after the office was closed which made getting to the apartment a little more challenging because it is not located in the same building as the office. Once we got to the building, self-check in was easy. If your apartment is located at Via dei Rustici 10, use Via dei Rustici 24 as the address, otherwise Google Maps takes you to the wrong place (for some reason there are 2 Via dei Rustici 10 addresses).
- Apartment Elena is located on the 2nd floor, up a flight and a half of stairs of somewhat steep stairs. There is no elevator (this was not a problem for us). It’s in a great central location: 6-minute walk to the Uffizi, 11 minutes to the Duomo, and 15 minutes to the Academia. There is a nearby Conad City for groceries and lots of restaurants. We used the washing machine in the apartment (located in the closet of the larger bedroom) and there was a nice large drying rack. We appreciated the easy-to-follow instructions for the washing machine and management supplied 4 washing capsules. There were plenty of glasses and plates.
- Like other reviewers, we read signs requesting that we take out garbage. However, when we talked to Suzanne (the manager), she said that we could ignore them and she needed to remove them. The signs were created back when the Borgo dei Greci apartments were only rented for stays one week or longer.
- We would suggest a few improvements to the apartment. The smaller bedroom needs a nightstand. The bathroom can use more accessible shelving installed on the walls. The bathroom did have a small 2-shelf cart but it was not easy to reach. There is nowhere to dry bath towels. We found that they would not dry in the bathroom.
- The sitting area in the apartment was a little cramped for us but probably to be expected given its location in the city.
- This is advice for other travelers, not a criticism of the property. I ran out of space in the previous section for this info. If you need to take a taxi to get to the airport or train station, I recommend that you ask Suzanne to book one for you. The taxis in Florence only pick up passengers at designated taxi stops. You cannot flag one down on the street. When we went to the Santa Croce taxi stop, only 1 taxi stopped during the 40 minutes that we were waiting there (with 30 other people) and that was on a Saturday morning. We weren't able to install an Italian taxi app because it insisted on sending a code to an Italian phone number which we did not have.

What an amazing experience we had during 3 nights in the BorgoDeGreci. The location, the charming appartement and Suzanne with her amazing and so nice welcoming attention. I barely give 10 as note on Booking.com but this time I can't imagine rating something different. I strongly recommend this place to everyone who want to visit Florence.

The host Suzanne was an absolute delight to deal with and she was very efficient with addressing any queries before our visit to Florence. Whilst we were there Suzanne made many excellent recommendations and always greeted us with a welcoming smile.
The apartment exceeded my expectations:
Location was excellent, a stone throw away from the Santa Croce and about a 15 min walk to the strain station. All the main sites are within walking distance. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment for 3 of us. The living room was big enough to open up the sofa bed and still have ample room around the dining and kitchen area. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail in the apartment. The little contemporary touches not only gave the apartment a modern feel but were also very convenient when you living away from home, with lots of storage space. Our apartment had excellent AC which was a plus in the heat.
Gelato, no exaggeration but they were the best I've tasted, (and yes better than Venchi and cheaper!).
Nuvola (near the Doumo) the Dubai Chocolate is to die for and you get service with a smile!
Cantina del gelato near the Ponte Vecchio - My favourite was the Caramel with Rock Salt.
Nothing!

The lady at the concierge desk, Suzanne, was wonderful! She was helpful, kind, friendly, and made us feel welcome. She even arranged a taxi for us on our departure morning. Thank you Suzanne ! The air conditioner in the bedrooms worked well and cooled the whole apartment. The beds were very comfy.
The apartment we received was not at all as pictured online. It was very small and the only windows were in the bedrooms. The apartment pictured online, that I thought I was renting, was beautiful, spacious looking with big windows in the main living space. We didn't complain about it because we knew there would not be another option. Florence is all booked in the prime season. We noticed mildew/mold on the wall when we arrived due to a leaking air conditioner in the main living space. The lady at reception told us about the leak when we checked in. Thankfully, there was an air conditioner in the bedrooms which cooled the whole apartment as it was very small. The check-in process was overly complicated. The check-in desk is in a different location and building from the apartment. The instructions we received in our email had us walk first to the apartment building, put in a code to open the main door, and once inside, put in another code from a lockbox to get the key. We then were instructed to another building, approx 2 blocks away to " check in" and be told the apartment was in the first building where we got the key. We did not like having to walk a couple of blocks with our bags twice after traveling in the heat. Had we known all of the negatives about the apartment, I definitely would not have rented it.

Suzanne, a lovely woman who runs the property, was absolutely responsive, kind and helpful. Probably the best host I’ve ever seen.
All the issues we had had she managed in no time.
This makes up for all the shortcomings of the apartment.
The location is perfect! Ideal distance from all the sightseeings (20min tops to the train station in one direction, 20 min tops the Michelangelo square for the best view of the city in the other) and best places to eat (try panini in Schiacchiateria de’Neri 18R, it’s 2min walk from the apartment, it’s way better than All’antico, I swear to god, you’ll not be disappointed)
Overall, the apt was clean, the washing machine came in really handy since it was the third city in our way. A really comfortable bed and the pillows.
Nevertheless, this is not under the control of the owners, but you should be aware of the fact that the windows overlook the street (not main though, just a backstreet), so on weekdays in the morning you can be disturbed by loaders from a neighboring cafe or workers. And in the evening - passers-by. But despite the wild congestion of Florence during our visit, these moments were very few and we managed to sleep well.
Plus the property was a little dimmer (in terms of the day light) than it was shown on the pics. But for us it was not a big deal.

. Location is great, so if they fix the little things , it can be a great place to stay⁸
Main bedroom for 2 people was too small as we could not fit our suitcases and had to place them in the tiny lounge
No coffee in the kitchen
They should put a clothes dryer in- we washed some clothes but didn't dry till a day later so we could not wash the towels they provided as we would not have towels that afternoon

Floors weren’t clean

Not enough toilet paper provided
With the price you pay I think your rubbish should be disposed of by property

Comfortable 2 bedroom apartment unit. Close to most tourist spots. Suzanne is quick to respond to questions and concerns. She even helped us get a taxi when we checked out.
Sofa bed / living room furniture are outdated and may need some replacements. No kitchen towels, and missing some kitchen basic utensils.
