The front enclosed porch is another great place to sit and relax. Walk to Torch Lake from this cottage, about 2 blocks to the park where you can swim.
Step back in time and enjoy this quaint cottage sitting on a quiet dead end road in the small town of Alden, next to Torch Lake and close to the Alden boat launch and access to the entire lower chain of lakes (Bellaire, Clam Elk and Skegemog, and Torch). Locals and repeat visitors alike know what a great lake Torch is for vacationing, swimming, boating, tubing, and just plain old sightseeing. This cottage is close to many professional and recreational golf courses, Traverse City shopping and the wineries of Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas. Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs are round trip same day great places to explore.
Whether you bring your own boat or rent one at one of the many marinas in the area spending time relaxing or enjoying some water sports is one of the many forms of entertainment in the area. Spend the day on the lake and then enjoy award winning craft beer at Shorts Brewery in downtown Bellaire or Elk Rapids.
Whatever you decide to do while here we are sure you will take home lasting memories of the good times and great places and will long to return again year after year.

We had such an amazing weekend here!! It’s close to the launch, and the little town of Alden but yet is secluded ! Only thing I wish was that it had an a/c unit. At lease just to cool it down a little while it was 95 degrees up there but other than that it’s PERFECT!
