About this house rental
"Bella Luna" is an oceanfront pet-friendly Tybee cottage with unobstructed views of the ocean from the oceanfront deck and a private sundeck off the top floor primary bedroom suite. This Tybee home is located mid-island within walking distance to many popular Tybee restaurants and shops.
Below the oceanfront deck is a convenient outdoor shower.
The top floor of "Bella Luna" is a spacious oceanview open floor living space with a kitchen, living area, and dining table. The formal dining table has seats for eight guests, plus an additional three seats at the dining counter. Or, enjoy meals outside on the covered oceanfront deck.
Off of the hallway is a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination. There are two bedrooms on the top floor. The primary main bedroom suite has a wet bar, sundeck, full bathroom, and a queen bed.
The second bedroom on the top floor has a queen bed and easy access to the full bathroom located in the hallway.
There are three bedrooms, a laundry room, and another full bathroom off of the hallway on the home's ground level. The third bedroom is a large suite with a king bed and a private full bathroom. The third bedroom's attached full bathroom has a double vanity, a walk-in shower, and a large jetted tub.
The fourth bedroom has two twin beds. The fifth bedroom has a queen bed. The fourth and fifth bedrooms have access to the full bathroom conveniently located off of the hallway on the ground level.
The laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer is also located on the ground level of this home.
There is parking for four vehicles at this home. (Two inside the garage and two right outside the garage.)
Additional fee for pet. $95 per pet

We really enjoyed this eclectic beach house, and loved waking up the ocean and beach right out the back door. The house is large, well stocked, and had more than enough spaced for my husband, our two girls, and my in-laws. It is a short walk to a few excellent restaurants, and we were able to get an uber easily to go to downtown Savannah for a day trip.

The home is deceptively large inside. Normally pictures on websites make the spaces seem bigger, that was the opposite here. We have a number of family members and we never felt like we were crowded or needed more space. the location is very easy to find and has great beach access.

3 of the bedrooms are perfect for adults. The other two bedroom on the first floor are more suited for children or young teens. The open-floor plan upstairs is wonderful with plenty of room for eating and lounging.Beach access is amazing - private path as close to the water as possible. Property managers are extremely helpful. They responded immediately to any questions we had.

The views/location from the house are wonderful. However, I had multiple issues with the property management. First, they tried to have me sign a 3rd party outside contract, which is against VRBO's policies and contradicted some of their policies on VRBO (stricter cancellation policy, age requirements, etc). Second, I had asked for an early check in, which was wonderful that they offered, however when I went to confirm they told me it was an extra $114 which they did not initially tell me and am also not sure is allowed on based on VRBO's policies. Third, we arrived at the house only to find that one of the twin mattresses listed online was missing- so we reached out to the property manager on VRBO without ANY response. We had to have a guest sleep on a couch (not a pull out couch even) the entire stay because we could not contact the property management.
Also, the house itself is completely empty of what I would consider basic necessities. No salt/pepper, cooking sprays, 1 tiny thing of soap/dishwasher pods, etc. We tried to walk to the market on the island to get more cleaning supplies, only to find out they do not sell any dishwashing liquid/pods- so bring EVERY little detail you will need for the stay, salt and all.
Overall, the location was wonderful and we had a great stay, but you can definitely tell this is just one of many properties this company manages and be prepared to be treated like just another number to them.
