About this villa rental

This Provencal farmhouse with character has been renovated in 2013. It is on an elevated position and overlooking the heights of the village of Gordes (within 8 minutes on foot) with unique exceptional views. There are beautiful pieces of furniture, a beautiful recent and antique tableware, a library, many beautiful books, big bedrooms, 3 separate toilets, a separate laundry room and recent high quality bedding. FOR 8 PEOPLE

, the cleanings will be done using specific disinfectants and the Laundry where the linen is washed has adapted its products for maximum disinfectionChampagne and wine from the Luberon is served upon arrival. There are L’Occitane welcome products in the bathroom, a Wi-Fi Internet connection, a large 1600 m² terraced garden planted with olive trees, evergreen oaks, big pines, cypresses, lavender and wild rosemary. There is a quality Weber barbecue and a lovely terrace that is sunny all day long. The house is very quiet and overlooks the Vallon de Gordes and the Luberon with stunning views. There are beautiful sunsets. The house, bath and pool linen is provided, 4 h of cleaning are included per week and the pool man comes daily.

Beautiful location, house authentic, very dark inside with dark walls. Could do with cream or white paint and bedrooms elevated in this regard, with cracks in walls repaired. Kitchen small but ok, pool and outside lovely. Broken umbrella replaced timely. Utility functional but disordered. Expensive for what it is. (probably due to proximity to Gordes). Had a lovely holiday.

Well equipped villa with leisure pool and mature garden including outside eating table and BBQ within walking distance to the beautiful village of Gordes. Loved all the lavender fields in the surrounding Luberon valley. We enjoyed our stay very much (5 adults, 2 teens). Some of the roads are quite narrow so bear this in mind if renting a car.

Our four adult children 18-25 joined us for a week long stay in Gordes. The house has lots of room for everyone to relax. The pool is gorgeous and we gathered there for cocktails most nights before heading out to one of the many excellent restaurants in the area. The village is a short walk. Super quiet. Highly recommend for a family vacation.

We had a lovely stay here. We weren't that familiar with the area and had no idea that Gordes town would be so busy with tourists. Thankfully Brigitte informed us and told us to book local restaurants in advance. The house is nice, well equipped, the only issue was with the umbrellas which were broken and ripped.

The house was just as described and in an ideal location walking distance to town. Check in and out were very straightforward. Overall a lovely holiday and I would recommend this house to those looking for a relaxing break in Gordes.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house in Gordes. It’s very well situated and you can walk down to the village in about 10-15 minutes. The village and the surrounding area are stunning and we really enjoyed visiting the local area (villages like Roussillon and Bonnieux but also towns a bit further away like Orange and Avignon). The house is large with four good sized bedrooms and it’s very well equipped as well as tastefully decorated.. It does get quite hot at night but there were fans in three of the rooms. The only thing we weren’t keen on was the memory foam mattress topper in our room. The outside space is lovely, with a nice area for meals and a great pool with a nice view. The pool is a ready good size and the children spent lots of time playing in it. The owner and the local lady who manages the property were both very helpful and friendly. The cleaning lady who came mid week was also very nice and the house was very clean when we arrived. Overall, I would definitely recommend this villa.

We have been renting holiday villas in Provence ( mainly the Luberon Valley) off and on for 40 years and this one comes right up there as to level of overall facilities and location, obviously Gordes is a special little town in its own right..The pool was beautiful and very clean There were however one or two small but niggly housekeeping issues. The fridge was not in good condition and this is an absolute requirement in Provence in high summer. The freezer had not been defrosted for some time, the freezer drawers came up against hard ice, which made one of the drawers almost impossible top open. This obviously affected the working of the chill cabinet as food etc kept there was barely cool. all week. The dishwasher did not work properly, the tablet only partially dissolving in some cases.. There was a small issue re lack of hand towels in the toilets/bathrooms. Now I don't want this to sound like a huge moan as the villa was lovely, but I think the owners would appreciate feed back. As a family we would have no hesitation in returning.to the villa

We set out to find a large summer rental within easy walking distance of Gordes and were thrilled to find Mas Odaline. From our first inquiry through our last day, owner Caroline Servant-David and property manager Brigitte Drablier responded promptly to all questions and requests and made our stay a grand success. Our family of seven adults found the house spacious and quiet, with modern bathrooms, ample hot water, and lovely garden views from every window. We especially loved the pool (essential given the “new normal” heat waves in Europe), the beautiful and quintessentially French main living spaces, and the ease of walking into Gordes for morning croissants, evening dinners, and the weekly Tuesday market.

We had the most lovely family vacation. We stayed at Mas Odaline for two weeks and the home was perfect for our family. Beautifully maintained four bedroom stone home, with incredible views. The pool was so refreshing and a great place to spend the late afternoon after sightseeing. Walking distance into beautiful Gordes was fantastic. Brigitte was there when we arrived and showed us everything. She also set up a wonderful chefs dinner with chef CC, which we all loved, as well as a wine tasting tour of Châteauneuf. We are already talking about going back and we just flew home to California yesterday! Merci!

The scenery is as comfortable, relaxing and beautiful as the house itself, just a 5-10 minute walk from the center of Gordes, a unique town that feels lived in whilst clearly embracing the many tourists who pass through it. The house itself fills all requirements, whether using it as a base to explore the rest of Provence or as a sanctuary to get away from it all, whilst enjoying the stunning views. The kitchen may not be large enough to prepare lavish meals or a thanksgiving feast (not that we tried) but has everything you could want. Remember, you are in Provence; eat out or nibble on bread, cheese and meats whilst sipping on some of the best wine in the world. The bedrooms are comfortable, 2 with shared access to a balcony for contemplative and serene breakfasts, and the bathrooms do what they need to. Staying with kids was even easy, with provided pack-and-play and high chair, as well as games for toddlers and of course the pool, although it was a little cold, even with outside temperatures in the 90s. Watch out on exiting the gravel driveway; its a blind exit on a steep hill. We spun our wheels a lot and were never completely sure whether there was a truck, car or group of cyclists about to hit us as we exited. Highly recommended.

We couldn’t have asked for more. Brigitte was incredibly responsive and couldn’t be more helpful in the run up to the holiday and kindly waited as we were significantly held up in Marseille at the car hire station. The fresh fruit and champagne on arrival was very welcome and Brigitte was very helpful with recommendations. The house and pool were fabulous and the short walk in to Gordes was a pleasure every day. We really did not want to leave this morning and very much hope we will be able to return some day.

We loved our home in Gordes. Very spacious. All bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. The host was available and gracious. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. They provided lovely bath wash and shampoo that we intend to buy immediately ! The short walk to town and back was just perfect for quiet , away from the crowds but easy grocery, restaurants and shopping. The pool is pretty chilly the first week in June but still a lovely area to sit. Excellent WiFi coverage. Antiquated stereo system. A million (seriously) French books and some in English. Great holiday spot.

Mas Odaline is a beautiful villa, and worked out perfectly for our family. We rented this home for our family, our three adult children and their partners, my husband and me. The home is close to hiking trails, and a wonderful walk into Gordes for croissants, dinner or ice cream and shopping. The pool was delightful, and the outdoor dining was peaceful. The bedroom and bathroom arrangements were great-- three separate toilets and two sink and showers. I mention that because I wasn't quite clear on it before we arrived. Parking was available onsite. Brigitte was cheerful and helpful in recommending restaurants and a chef who prepared the most fabulous French meal. Our stay was very memorable!

This beautiful Provençal villa, overlooking a stunning view in Gordes, was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. Our girl's trip was to soak up and explore the beauty of Provence, but the ambience didn't end when we got "home." Tile floors, stone walls, large windows, balcony, porches, and the grounds were an extension of everything we loved about being in France. The owners were most helpful before we even arrived, responding quickly to our many questions, and Brigitte, our on-site hostess, made reservations, suggested markets, and filled in the gaps you don't get from a Rick Steves travel book! These 5 ladies from Georgia are looking forward to another stay at Mas Odaline.

We were met by the property manager Brigitte, who was clear in communication, welcoming, and helpful but not intrusive. The house is a short walk from the center of the village, with wonderful sunrises and sunsets from its position atop the ridge. We were just 2 people but could have comfortably had 6 or even 8. The pool is great, modern amenities like fast wifi and a gas grill make living easy. Great location from which to explore Provence. Highly recommend for your Provence vacation!

We had the most beautiful time in one the most beautiful villages in France. Our stay at Mas Odaline was perfect in every way. The villa was tastefully decorated,clean and well appointed with all you could ask for. We were two families meeting up from different parts of the world that consisted of 4 adults and 3 teenage girls for a total of two weeks. The Villa is situated just 800m from the the centre of Gordes so every morning we walked into town for our fresh bread and pastries to have with our fresh fruit & hot coffee. We explored many other villages close by and as beautiful as they were Gordes was definitely the right choice. There is a market held in town every weekend where we bought fresh cheeses, meats and breads. Being such a large group we cooked mostly every night and dined outside under the stars, but there were more than enough restaurants close by if you wanted to dine out. Caroline and Regis the owners kept us up to date right up until to the time of our arrival where we were met by Brigitte who showed us around the villa. We highly recommend Villa Mas Odaline to families or groups of friends as there are ample bathrooms and toilets as well 4 bedrooms and various seating/lounging areas around the house in and out. There is good wifi internet throughout the house and a great pool to chill in. All in all we had a great time.

Nous avons passé la plus belle semaine dans cette belle maison dans un cadre exceptionnel. Salles de bains luxueuses, lits confortables, tout l'équipement de cuisine dont nous pourrions avoir besoin, sans oublier la magnifique piscine ! Comment pourrions-nous ne pas nous détendre ? L'emplacement est parfait et nous avons pris le sentier pittoresque menant à Gordes à plusieurs reprises. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Brigitte, la gérante et la propriétaire était régulièrement en contact pour s'assurer que tout allait bien. Nous recommandons cette propriété sans hésitation.

A nice, beautiful – but windy – stay!

Le mas Odaline is a beautiful house, located on the outskirts of the historic and popular Gordes. Location up the hill and within walking distance to Gordes. The town is full of tourists at daytime and you may have a hard time finding a place to park your car. However, the house is practically situated in peace and quiet uphill. We were very kindly received by the sweet and welcoming Brigitte who gave us a good introduction to the house, and who brought us delicious cherries, melon and two nice bottles of wine as welcoming gift. The house is basically fine, built in yellow stones, which are the hallmark of the area. It has a lovely view of the hills and there is a lot of outdoor areas in different levels. The pool area is great and seems newly built. The pool is great and has a perfect size and depth for swimming. As a children's pool, it may be less suitable, since it is deep at both ends. A guy discreetly passes by once a week in the morning to maintain the pool and garden. The house is spacious with 4 bedrooms. Two of these share a balcony with beautiful views. There are two bathrooms - both with a bath tub - and three toilets that after French tradition are in separate room from the bathrooms. There is a nice and cozy living room and a dining room from where you have access to a small porch and the garden (not to the pool, unfortunately). There is of course a kitchen – a small one though – and a utility room. All in all we were happy with our choice of house! However, a few minor things could be pointed out: Especially the bathrooms are kind of worned out… To be honest the house could do with some maintenance and some “refreshing” finish here and there… This would raise the standard quite a bit! :-) A last thing (and we cannot blame anyone for this – except maybe the weather Gods!;-)) Staying in Provence is some kind of a lottery because of the Mistral. Even to us “Northerners” it became a challenge. We only had a single weeks vacation, and for four days we were paralyzed because of heavy, noisy and freezing storms… Everything outside had to be fixed, all shutters, windows and doors firmly closed, we could not swim, sunbathe, eat outside etc. during this period :-( Well, we were just unlucky, and we are only stating this because people not familiar with the Mistral should be aware of this risk; Besides that – le Lubron et la Provence are just fabulous! :-)

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux dans la maison de Caroline et Regis. Très agréable à vivre, la maison et son environnement sont magiques. Chacun d'entre nous adore cet endroit. C'est un paradis pour les vacances. Proche de tous les lieux à visiter, plein de départs en promenade à pied, beaucoup de plaisirs à vivre aussi dans la maison et dans le merveilleux jardin en restanques, et bien sûr la piscine et sa plage immense. Nous avons apprécié les deux salles de bains, les balcons avec vue imprenable sur le Luberon, le salon et la salle à manger très spacieux, et en plus le voisinage très sympathique. Proche du village mais assez en retrait pour bien se reposer. Et les propriétaires sont formidables.

My husband and I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful villa and would certainly like to come back in the future. The villa has a lovely terrace with pool overlooking the valley and garden with BBQ. The breathtaking village of Gordes is a quick stroll down the road with a number of great restaurants, bakers and bars. The location is perfect for walking and we set off in a different direction every day including to other hilltop villages, Les Village des Bories and Abbaye Notre-Dame de Senanque, returning to relax in our fully equipped villa with everything we needed.
