Great overall stay.
Great location and beautiful view. Host was lovely and left us to it, even provided us with well water(tap water was drinkable too). Heating was great and easy to work.
Only thing that wasn't exactly clear is the hot tub being chargeable.. not a massive charge. 20 euro for duration of our stay if we wanted but due to us only staying two nights it wasn't exactly worth it. The toilet that is on the outside of the property could use a clean but there is one inside the property which was perfectly clean.

This log cabin is perfect for a little get a way. It is in an ideal location, far away from the nois
The location and space were perfect. The heatwave just added to ambience of the stay 🌞

Nice from far but far from nice
The location was really beautiful great views and pretty
In the description there says hot tub but we didn't have one which is very misleading and as the owner didn't mention one I assumed the hot tub on their description is a lie. The general cleanliness was not great it looked like the owners would only give a quick clean, I think we cleaned the property more than the owners, there were cobwebs in the corners everywhere. The bathroom the bedroom and the living area. The second bedroom with bunk beds needs to be looked at maybe a refurb as there is a stench of mould and we could not use it as this would be harmful to our young baby. The layout of the cabins isn't great. We thought we were getting one cabin but the living area and sleeping areas are completely separate which wasn't what we were led to believe. The door in the bedroom didn't lock so whilst leaving the cabin for day trips we had to take all our valuables with us which isn't ideal. The owners dog came down from their property and took a poo on our decking which isn't great as we have a baby and one less area to play. The remote in the bedroom wasn't compatible with the TV and didn't work, we did check the batteries which wasn't the problem so that will need looked at. There was no coffee provided and there were only 3 teabags which are really stingy for a 2 night stay. We have stayed in a lot of log cabins over the years and the rustic log cabin is the worst by far. Fair to say that we will never be coming to stay at the property. I'm really really disappointed. If these changes are made it could be really good but by looking at previous reviews (which I wished I looked at before booking) we can see that they have always had these problems with the rustic log cabin but they don't take this into consideration so I doubt anything will change.

Cosy cabin with perfect hosts.
We actually stayed in the Foyleview cabin rather than the rustic log cabin but I cannot review it because my original booking was for the rustic cabin. We had such a wonderful stay. The cabin is so cosy, we had all the cooking utensils you could want, the bed is very comfortable, WiFi was great, The view is amazing. The hot tub is fantastic, you just walk around the back of the house to access it, really not an issue. I’ve seen some ridiculous complaints on here about how far away it is! The BBQ and the outdoor kitchen facilities are also amazing. Sheelagh and Michael are perfect hosts. Always smiling always available and nothing is a bother to them, genuinely lovely people. We were there 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Donegal adventures
The location is brilliant. The views are spectacular and the host was very nice
A few issues here . Main one is that the cabin has 2 doors . 2 separate rooms ,one for kitchen and living other for bedroom and toilet. In the rain it is not ideal to have to go outside for the toilet. I was disappointed by the bed situation the bunk beds are very small no room and to go to the toilet disturbs the person in the double bed. Also parking on wet grass is a nightmare . It needs a few repairs from use. The button on the toilet is broken and the taps actually turn . I was a bit disappointed as its not cheap

Beautiful, peaceful and views that are breathtaking
The view is breathtaking and the location is very peaceful. You can sit and watch the boats cross the stretch of water all day, weather permitting. The cabin has everything you need to make meals. Oven, kettle and toaster. Loads of room in front of the property for children to play games and for the dog to run around. Is a rustic log cabin so I didn’t expect much from the shower as other reviews have mentioned but it’s enough to have a wash which is all you need. It’s a lovely little place to explore Donegal and great value for money. I do prefer a self catering holiday as you eat out if you want but also have the option to make a meal in. Well done to the owners, I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely come back
Nothing. I did my research and I knew what to expect. If a power shower is important to you then don’t book but I can’t fault this log cabin. It has everything you need for a self catering holiday
