Location - in a residential area, 15 min walk to the old town. Security - gated site. Parking - dedicated spot, close to the apartment, under shade - excellent. Apartment itself had all that is needed especially the very welcome air con. Gated pool (good) just a few steps away. Although one of a block of apartments, all quiet. Small private garden perfect for sitting out. Owner/host exceptionally helpful, not just re the apartment but all local amenities, places of interest.

But just to add that the "new" town, over the river, is more of a walk, especially if a cruise on the Canal du Midi, which is on the far side of the new town, is on your agenda. Maybe an Uber next time...worth the effort either way.

Hosts rang & checked if we'd arrived whilst we were midway to the property on the shuttle bus. Sounded very welcoming & offered to collect us from.the drop off point in the main city.
Pool area & house could do with a little tlc. Tired in ateas; overall clean but needs upgrading & maintaining. Garden needs tidying up / weeding. Bed could be improved upon.
Overall good stay; fantastic friendly; welcoming hosts with great knowledge and advice for the local area.
Would have been useful to know property in shared residential area / block and from.September to May isa ccommodated by students

The swimming pool at the apartment we originally booked was closed when we arrived due to Covid. Claire immediately offered us another apartment with an open swimming pool. Excellent location. Swimming pool was great, Claire and her husband were very friendly and gave us lots of info on what to do around Carcassonne.

The location is good with the medieval city only 5 minutes away and the lake for water sports 10 minutes away. The WiFi and internet tv were very much appreciated and worked fast. Gated access with undercover parking also a great asset. Very accommodating host with check in and check out.
No air con or fans meant temperature inside was unbearable and we had to go purchase fans for each room which we didn’t appreciate. The mattresses and pillows are not comfy and need replacing. Not practical for much cooking as very slow portable oven.
