Place was great and very peaceful. Only complaints are the water smelled like eggs and the hot tub had alot of jets not working properly.

House was nice, clean and comfortable as it rained most of our trip. I was disappointed that the "short hike to the creek" was a steep incline as we had brought our dog for that specific reason. Alot of close hiking trails in the area.

We were seeking a quiet retreat to the mountains for Christmas and found that plus more at Canopy Escape! Arriving to unexpected snow on Christmas Eve, finding the home tastefully decorated with lights and walking in to a lit Christmas tree was simply magical. From there, we found the home to be clean, well stocked, with comfortable furnishings and quite cozy. Although the home “feels” remote, it is close enough to everything. The stream on the property, which can be heard from the decks, is beautiful and well worth the short hike to see. Our thanks to the owners for the extra touches and sharing your home. We will definitely return!

Upon arrival the door code did not work. After sitting on hold over 10 minutes was given one that did work. While family sat in car grumbling about when we could go to dinner… then ran in to use restroom and drop off bags but toilet didn’t flush. Turned out after another phone call water was off due to freezing temps. That’s fine, but a heads up before arrival or during the first phone call would’ve been nice. Still didn’t work. After Another phone call it was determined the well pump was off. Again fine, but this has been yet another delay after a long drive. During the stay we got what I think looked like about a foot of snow. I asked rental company to plow even giving them time we’d be out so as not to be in the way. They never came. Causing us to have to shovel, a lot, on vacation, to get our 4x4 up and out the steep driveway. When I texted back to say nobody came, I got no response. Anyway, the house was clean (except for some dishes- the dishwasher is not great and apparently not checked before items returned to cabinets) but needs a lot of cosmetic work. And the water needs a filter system. Kids insisted on brushing teeth with bottled water. I’m sure it’s not an issue in less extreme temps but the lower level was freezing while the top level was hot.Most of our issues besides the check in and water were due to the weather but the lack of response from management company was disappointing. Liked the quiet street. Not at the house much at a place like Deep Creek anyway.
