But if your idea of fun is just hanging out at the cabin and taking a nice winter walk, you can hike or snow shoe in the freshly fallen white stuff, then run inside to warm by the fire and sip hot chocolate! Ice skate at Chapman Ice Rink or experience a sleigh ride in Durango. Phenomenal sledding hills are located in our mountain community, at the nearby lake and park. Experience the peace and serenity of our little piece of heaven. You'll no doubt be planning your next visit, before you even begin to head back home! Just the coziest place for my husband and two adult children to stay during our vacation to the Durango area. Well stocked kitchen with spices galore, a grill, a H-U-G-E TV and comfy sofas and beds. Did not like that you had to take your trash and put it into your vehicle and take it down the hill and across the street,and the time frame you had to do it we were already out doing things.The pictures of the out side of the place were out dated it looked,because you were surrounded by homes.

It was everything that Jan and Stan listed! The only thing you need is your personal belongings, everything else was provided! There was things stocked: coffee, bath supplies, seasonings, etc! Probably the highlight for us all was the proximity to the San Juan National Forest. We were able to access a nearby trailhead- which we did often - without getting in the car.

This cute cabin was exactly what we needed! We didn't get to spend much time here but it was the perfect place for us to relax, recharge and be ready for our next day's adventure while we were on our vacay! Enjoyed the property, very comfortable and loved seeing all the deer in the yard. While we were able to accommodate the trash disposal requirements, it would be nice to know before booking that guests are responsible for transporting trash to the trash disposal site about a mile away and only during certain hours. This could be tough for folks that have booked excursions and can’t make those times.

While it is a bit of a drive into Durango, it is still a beautiful one. We enjoyed the cabin which was well stocked with all of the things needed in the kitchen as well as towels and such in the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable as well. Even the neighbors we came into contact with were hospitable.

This cabin is a 10 out of 10. Great location inbetween pagosa spings and durango. Beautifully placed. Tucked into the wilderness where you are sure to see some wildlife every day. The property itself is gorgeous! It is like something you would see in a magazine. The beds are memory foam and super comfortable. It is fully loaded with everything you could possible need. Highly recommended!

Way to many check list. Long in list. Check out every time you left for the day. To big to check out. Strip beds, sort towels by color. And to haul off the garbage was too much. Spray all rooms with with Lysol.use doing all that l wonder way i paying for cleaning. Way to much.

We knew we'd like/love this cabin before we even pulled into the Driveway! How can anyone not love being greeted by a Mother and her 3 "babies" (all Deer)! Everything from the beginning of our stay, until leaving (which was really hard to do) was about as perfect as could be. The cabin was simply beautiful, and excellently maintained. The bed in the Master upstairs was so comfortable, and the pillows were so perfect, I actually had to find out the brand of pillows, and went and purchased some as soon as we got home! The only flaw, was the day I had planned ahead of time, before we got there, to go fishing...apparently, someone from above, thought I needed more "chill" time, and decided it was time for a little rain! Oh well, I got a few hours in the next day! The Durango/Silverton Train Ride is a MUST for anyone visiting the area...you can watch videos all you want, and be amazed, but there's nothing like the real thing! Jan and Stan, thank you SO, SO, much for allowing us to stay in your "little" piece of Heaven, which in our lives, was a "BIG" piece of Heaven...we really appreciated it. I was going to leave Stan a little gift of a Vegas Golden Knights, 2023 Stanley Cup Champions "coozie", but thought he'd probably do something else with it, other than using it to kep his drink cool! We loved our stay. It was so peaceful and the deer and turkeys just walked about. The beds were very comfortable and it was so quite that we slept well. The cabin had everything we needed and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great place!

We've stayed at this property many times and it feels like home. The cabin is comfortable and welcoming, decorated in a mountain theme and equipped with everything we needed. Fall colors in the area were not quite at peak but so beautiful anyway. The deer family payed us daily visits as did the wild turkeys. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Very nice and well maintained property. Probably the best maintained kitchen we have ever seen. Clean and well appointed. The property is in a beautiful setting and although neighbors are near by the house is set so that it is very private. Plenty of towels and pillows. Big bonus was the deer that frequented the property most mornings and evenings. Communication with the owners was good. The only con was having to take the garbage to the dump down the road.

Nice little cabin, tucked up in the woods, outside of town. Cabin was very clean, and user friendly. Its a great place for a small gathering, and close enough to Durango that you could take in activities, such as shoping or the Jeep/train tour(highly recommend), or some really wonderful food(El Moro, Gazpacho). But was far enough away from town that you had privacy, and the quietness of the woods, even with neighbors near by.

We just got home from our wonderful cabin! It was everything as described on the website and then some. Such kind and gracious host Jan and Stan are! Oh and did I mention the bed?!?? Always a chance on a comfortable bed when we rent cabins and this bed was awesome! Loved seeing the deer up in the yard and thru out our stay. We've stayed at this cabin over six times. Always clean and very well equipped and conveniently located to grocery stores for those sometimes forgotten items. Beautiful drives to Pagosa Spring and Silverton are a must.
