This St. Simons Island vacation rental is a 1940s original with a fenced yard, a screened porch, and just enough space to keep the peace between the night owls and the early birds. It’s a beach cottage with a big map: 0.2 miles to the closest beach, 9-minute walk to Crab Daddy’s, and a 12-minute walk to Porch for the best Nashville Hot Chicken in the Golden Isles.

Our stay was largely great. The only drawback was a house being built next door, and work started around 7-7:30 most days, but that was just bad luck for us. For a small house, it lives big. Big LR and DR, good-sized bedrooms. Fenced yard. It was perfect for our visit to the golf tourney with our dogs, and our hosts gave us good info. It was close to everything we wanted to do, walking distance to all kinds of activities including shops, restaurants, the lighthouse, and the beach, which was awesome! Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time in St. Simmons. The cottage is a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The fenced in backyard and water hose outside made it easy having our 2 dogs with us. The screened in front porch is perfect for relaxing outside. Alo, big thanks to the Emmons team for returning my laptop which I forgot at the house. We ll be back.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for a week in mid October with our dog. This house was a perfect location. We walked to the beach every morning, cooked meals at home, and really appreciated both the outdoor shower and the fenced in yard.The house has seen some wear but it was clean, well appointed, and on a nice quiet street. We liked it there and would recommend to others.

The inside of the cottage was nice and clean. This rental accepted dogs and had a fenced in yard. It was walkable to the beach if you were not carrying a lot of beach accessories. The beach was terrific—dogs allowed during certain months and very wide and walkable during low tide ‘Emmons Reality was very helpful when the only bathroom’s sink clogged up. They sent a repair man right away and were very nice to work with. Also, their communication was everything you needed while in the rental. The cons—-the outside and patio areas were in need of some tender loving care. The blind on the front door was completely falling apart and hanging off the door These items are all things that could be easily taken care of to make this rental more appealing. St. Simons was a great place to visit.
