Cosy 1 bedroom apartment in a historic canal house in a quiet and very popular residential area on the Amsterdam city island 'Prinseneiland', The island is like an old fashioned village within the center of Amsterdam, and is inhabited by a nice mixture of artists, expats and traditional Amsterdam people, close to the canals and main city’s attractions.
The apartment has a very nice feel with an 'authentic' style, an open, fully equipped kitchen in the living-room, a private bathroom with shower, wireless internet, a TV with international channels and of course a coffee maker.
Everything in this apartment is in great condition!
The neighbourhood is ideal located at about a 10 minutes walking distance from the busy city center with lots of restaurants and shops, The Ann Frank House, the Central Railway Station, the Red Light District, Dam Square and Westerpark and 3 nice markets on Mondays (arts and crafts-), Wednesdays (organic-) and Saturdays (farmers-).
In short, the perfect place to stay when in Amsterdam!
Bookings are only for 2 guests max, a baby is counted as 1 person according to the local rules!
Use of the sofa as an sepparate bed costs 10 euro once for the extra bedlinen.

A well presented apartment in a quiet location. About a 20 minute walk to the town centre with many different shops and a supermarket close by. The owner Emmy greeted us, showed us the apartment and gave us alot of helpful information.Slightly unnerving was the light fitting over the dining table, it didn't turn on unless you screwed the light bulb in and then out to turn off, do hope Emmy got it fixed!Overall a lovely place to stay.

We had a lovely few nights at Emmy's place in Amsterdam. The location is quiet and peaceful with easy access to the rest of the city. Emmy is an excellent host and communicated well. The skylight above the bed is so unique and charming! It can be closed of course if needed.

Old building no ventilation very small bedroom with no windows. flooring lifting in front of bedroom. bathroom very small shower slippery. light over the dining room table did not work on our stay. We could not lock the unit from other tenants when we left. Lighting was poor. The house was good even though she laid the rules. neighbourhood fairly handy to the bus stop lots of walking .no safe for valuables . Fridge has no freezer to keep ice. Thanks
