IL PRUNELLO - a house between the towers

THE POSITION:
Immersed in the medieval atmosphere of San Gimignano, the Prunello is a delightful 50 m2 apartment furnished with taste, respecting the original furnishings, but adding color and modernity, and super-equipped.
Nestled in ancient walls, it enjoys a unique position in the center of San Gimignano. Although it is so central in the village, it is quiet and reserved, thanks to its single entrance on the ground floor, which is accessed through the private patio, and therefore enjoys total autonomy.
A few meters from Piazza della Cisterna and Piazza del Duomo, as well as from the Rocca di Montestaffoli, located on the same road, it is ideal for spending unforgettable days discovering the jewels of San Gimignano.

STRUCTURE:
From the entrance door you can see the Torre Grossa high in the sky. From here you enter a bright living area with armchairs and a small sofa, for reading and resting. In this area there is also the dining table, with designer leather chairs. There are many finishes that make this stay pleasant, such as old dishes and family paintings, high ceilings with beams and medieval bricks. There is also a small closet, where cleaning products, brooms, stairs, folding chairs are placed.
The kitchenette is in light wood, Italian-style, with a four-burner kitchenette, appliances and full kitchen equipment.
The corridor leads to the functional bathroom, with toilet, sink and large walk-in shower. It is covered with white tiles and terracotta finishes from Impruneta. Intimate and comfortable this bathroom with heated towel rail.
Further on, here is the sleeping area, which develops into a large room with a central arch. In the first part, a sitting area with sofa that quickly becomes a double bed, and an orange smurf. There is a vintage 1950s radio, a niche-library with photo books and city guides, and a comfortable and functional chest of drawers.
The wrought iron double bed is spacious and comfortable. This is flanked by two nineteenth-century wooden bedside tables, with original lampshades from the house, as well as the large 18th century wardrobe, made of wood by hand. Inside there are hangers, blankets, a small ironing board and other cushions.
The bedroom window, with shutters, overlooks Via Quercecchio, and the Campatelli palace-tower in Via San Giovanni is visible on the left, as well as the Cugnanesi Tower.
