Great place to stay in lovely house set in beautiful grounds

We needed somewhere to sleep en route to Bergerac and we’re delighted to find this lovely house in the grounds of the chateau. Comfortable beds, sitting room and a kitchen which was great for preparing dinner. The host was very helpful and we would definitely come back and stay here to explore the area.

Good for an overnight stop if you don’t want to stop in an hotel

Apartment was clean and had secure dedicated parking. Owner was nice and talked us through the way to access the property. Great for an overnight stop as it’s not too far from the motorway but far enough to feel as though you’re in the country. It was very well equipped and everything worked (maybe the pull out bed could be better) and he’d everything you need for an overnight stay. If you’re going to eat out we can recommend the restaurant Cote Sud Loire which is about 2 miles from the apartment. There is also a great bakery at the end of the street where you can order sandwiches and pick them up the next day when they open, which we did and they were delicious.

We thought that we would be able to access the grounds of the Château but that isn’t allowed, so it’s a little remote with not a great deal to explore on foot, meaning you need to get back in your car and drive. There was also 4 adults in our group and the second bedroom is a little on the small side if you try to use the pull out bed, so we had to split the sleeping with one on the couch and one in the single bed as the pull out bed doesn’t really work in such a small room, but the couch is very comfy so for one night it’s not a major problem. It would be great for 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 kids. Photos were clearly taken some time ago as everything is a little dated, but very clean and working.

The apartment is super comfortable and very well-equipped. The setting is so beautiful and quiet. The host is simply the best, so kind, so accommodating and can help you with anything. We had such a nice visit here, I would stay again and I would recommend this place very highly to anyone looking for a memorable experience.

From the pictures it gave the impression that the view at the castle was at a distance. Nobody expects to have an appartment next to the parking lot of the castle. The descripton says there are two bathrooms. The hot tub was in the master bedroom. which some people might like, but we don't. We would not have chosen it if we had known this. The garden is next to a noisy (metal) gate opening and closing for all residents of the 20 (?) houses. Walking/driving in and out. There was a lot of noise from the family living above the appartment. We booked 3 nights , left after one night, did not get money back for the other two nights.

It's a beautifully decorated apartment, immaculately clean and the host Ahmed is so welcoming and helpful. If you're looking for somewhere peaceful to stay near Orleans, this is the place.

Terrible experience! We want our money back!

We had a terrible experience. We only booked this accommodation because it said it charged extra for cleaning due to Covid. Therefore we thought it would be extra safe, extra clean!

As we arrived the host took us in through the patio which was covered with leaves, he offered to sweep it up, we had no idea that this was a warning to the level of cleanliness to come! The smell from the drains filled the apartment, we had the front and back doors open to try to get rid of the smell. The stench from the bath in the bedroom was so overpowering that we had to have the window open all night, in October, and try to sleep fully clothed with masks and scarfs, which was impossible! The smell in the shower room meant we couldn’t use that either! No sleep! No shower or bath! The dust on the surfaces was thick enough to write your name in! The mirror above the basin in the bedroom had finger marks all over it and smears! The draw in the vanity unit had a dried up puddle of yuck in it! The toilet brush holder was covered in stains and dust! The cooker hood was covered in grease! The bedside mat had stains on it! It felt horrible and we couldn’t wait to get out in the morning! If they hadn’t said in the advert that they charge extra 30€ for deep cleaning re Covid, then I would have just put it down to a bad choice but we were misled about it and would not have booked it if we hadn’t seen that distinction! It was a nightmare! Not clean! We felt dirty having stayed there! We want our money back!

Sejour parfait!

Magnifique endroit. Accueil au top. Le petit dej servi par notre hôte etait juste fantastique! Un choix enorme et du “fait maison”comme les crêpes marocaines, gaufres ainsi que le thé marocain. Plateau de fruits frais. Literie confortable et petite terrasse bien agreable. N hesitez pas a réserver !! Parking privé juste devant la maison. Immense parc où flaner.

Charmanter Aufenthalt beim Schloss

Die außergewöhnliche Lage im Chateau mit seinem Garten. Wir konnten unsere Freunde, die wir Jahre nicht gesehen hatten, zum Frühstück treffen. Dafür durften wir ganz unproblematisch die Unterkunft später als normal verlassen. Die charmante, stilvolle Wohnung mit jeglichem Komfort in altem Gemäuer und eigenem Garten sowie Blick auf das Chateau hat uns ausgesprochen gut gefallen! Man kann sich sehr gut auch einen längeren Aufenthalt dort vorstellen.

El piso está muy bien cuidado y decorado. Tiene un fabuloso salón, suite y jardín para poder comer y cenar fuera. La cocina completamente equipada, incluso nos dejaron productos de limpieza. Aunque no incluía desayuno había te y café disponibles. No conocimos a los dueños pero a través de mensaje nos facilito tanto el check- in como el check- out. Tanto el como los vecinos, muy amables.

Lo menos cómodo para 5 personas fué que NO incluye dos WC, si dos baños uno en una especie de suite con jacuzzi y lavabo y otro con ducha en el pasillo. La cama nido x decir algo colchones un poco finos.

Mooie ruime slaapplek met een uniek uitzicht.

De ruimte van deze slaapplek was heel fijn. Feit dat er een tweede kamer beschikbaar is voor een kinderbedje is heel fijn. Ook biedt de tuin genoeg ruimte om je in te kunnen vermaken.

Helaas was er maar 1 velletje keukenpapier nog op de rol aanwezig. Verder zijn er wat onderhoudspuntjes aan de jacuzzi en konden we deze helaas niet werkend krijgen.

piccolo appartamento adatto ad una coppia. in più persone ( noi eravamo 4) le camere da letto non sono adeguate essendoci una camera matrimoniale ed un altra con 2 lettini di cui 1 estraibile ma con spazio molto ristretto . ci è stato detto, ma il giorno dopo, che bisognava utilizzare un divano letto nel soggiorno.
