Great stay

Lovely property set in a small vineyard with superb views, great breakfast and the excellent host Marko. Marko's early morning boat trip is not to be missed (before the hordes descend on Virzapar) and it was good to have a chance to try his wines. The use of of two good bikes was a bonus. Can't recommend highly enough.

Stay at lovely Prevalis Cottage

The host Marko was very helpful. He's a real people person, enjoying interacting with his guests and trying to make their stay as memorable as possible. We went on one of his boat trips on lake Skadar which was most enjoyable. He also invited us into his little winery where we tasted his own very nice wine. The view from the cottage is superb. Highly recommended.

A long uphill path/steps up to the cottage for someone with arthritic knees but Marko helps with the luggage and the view once up more than makes up for the inconvenience.

Panoramic Vista's in a wonderful quiet location

Beautiful studio overlooking a vineyard which is 500 years old. The studio has all needed facilities and a lovely sheltered patio where you can sit and enjoy a panoramic view whilst sampling the local vino. Highly recommended

A lovely stay in Prevails nature

Marko is a wonderful host who made us feel very much at home in his beautifully appointed apartment. The apartment was spacious, well equipped and comfortable, with exceptional views from the balcony over the mountains. We enjoyed a wine tasting with him and were very impressed by the quality of his red wine.

Prevalis Nature Cottage is such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay in Virpazar and Marko is a fantastic host. We stayed in the ground floor apartment and could easily just spend all day there relaxing on the sun loungers in the lovely garden and taking in the beautiful view. The apartment is beautifully designed and comfortable and we loved waking up to the view of the mountains from the bed. Marko was a very helpful host and really friendly and interesting guy. He helped us with advice about where to go and even drove us to a lovely beach along the lakeside as we didn't have a car. We very much enjoyed the dinner we had in the garden of fresh carp, it was a real feast and Marko's wine from his small vineyard was excellent. We were able to borrow bikes for free and enjoyed cycling into the village (which is also an easy walk). The highlight of our trip was the early morning boat trip on the lake with Marko, absolutely beautiful and so quiet before all the other tour boats start their day. It's an absolute must do if you stay! We very much hope to return sometime.

Perfect peaceful escape & perfect host

Marco was the perfect host - we stayed in his accommodation for 2 nights and loved it. He kindly picked us up from the bus station (and also then dropped us there when we were leaving).. he also gave us some of his own wine and showed us his winery. Marco gave us useful information about Virpazar and allowed us to use his 2 bicycles. The accommodation itself was very spacious, very clean and had amazing views. We visited Kotor, Budva, Virapazar and Sveti Stefan on our trip and this was by far our favourite accommodation.

I'd rate it 11/10 if I could, truly loved our experience staying there

The cottage was fantastic with amazing views right from the bed. The location is ideal for heading into Virpazar and secluded enough atop the vineyard to be incredibly relaxing. Marko was exceptional and literally nothing was too much effort. The evening boat tour of Lake Skadar was very special and an experience we will always remember. His recommendations for exploring the area were perfect. Thank you very much Marko

Beautiful private suite with stunning views and exceptional service

Gorgeous views over the valley from a large furnished terraza where you can sit and watch the sunset accompanied by a symphony of birdsong. The suite looks brand new and is finished with high-end products. The nicest place we’ve stayed in our month in Europe so far. Marko is an amazing host and he is easily reachable by WhatsApp in case you are like us and get delayed in your arrival. The cottage was immaculate, the bed comfortable with nice smooth soft sheets/duvet(I’m a bit of bedding fanatic), the bath was roomy and plenty of hot water and water pressure. Marko was so kind, despite our late arrival, to invite us into his cellar to try his wine. He also did a boat tour for us. The room is even nicer(and much larger) than it appears in the photos.

Such an incredible apartment and host - we can't recommend enough!

We loved everything about our stay! Prevalis nature cottage is absolutely beautiful. The apartment is finished to such a high standard, it's very clean, well equipped and the view over the mountains is stunning. But the best bit was Marko himself - he is one of the best hosts we have ever had. He was so kind, attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay as great as possible. Our highlights were having a delicious meal of fresh fish from the lake cooked by Marko's mother, whilst sitting on our balcony at sunset and spending an evening chatting with Marko in his wine cellar and trying his homemade wine and spirits! We can't wait to visit again one day and will definitely stay for more than 2 nights :)

Relax at lake Skadar, perfect stay in Nature Cottage of superhost Marko

Marko is one of the best hosts we have ever met in many years of travelling around the world. His nature cottage is a really special place, overlooking the mountains around Skadar Lake. Great value for money. Marko has excellent tips for hidden jewels in the area. His sister Marina organizes excellent boat tours on the lake with lots of information on culture, history and bird watching. We rented the 2 studios as a family of 5 persons. Don’t forget to taste the local wine and go for this place for an amazing stay at Virpazar!

Breakfast was great and was served on our terrace at the time we wanted. Marko has an amazing own wine, gives very helpful advise (boat trip with his sister is highly recommended) and overall is a very sympathic host.

Great stay!

We stayed for 4 days in the apartment from Marko. What a beautiful place and a great host, he makes the difference! He gave us great tips for beautiful hikes and places to visit. He arranged a boat trip with his sister, that we enjoyed very much! His mother prepared carp for us, delicious!! We liked his apartment on the ground floor and the wonderfull view. A quiet place where we heard only bird sounds....We liked everything but without any doubt Marko the most!!

A perfect base for exploring Virpazar and Skadar Lake

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The location is excellent for exploring the region - you can cycle and hike right from the door. The terrace is great for enjoying meals outside and the view is stunning. We really appreciated the free bike hire and how accommodating Marko was in general. We had a traditional Montenegrin breakfast one morning too, which we enjoyed.

There are a few small things in the studio which need fixed/updated, but Marko is aware of this. Blackout curtains would be good for the terrace windows.

The room was spacious, very well thought through, and filled with handmade furniture. Best part was Marco, the host, though. He recommended hiking tours which were 11/10 and even invited us to his wine cellar for a little tasting.

Amazing location, fantastic host, perfect experience

This was one of the nicest places we've stayed on our travels! An amazing place which is close to Virpazar town but also secluded enough that you feel really connected with nature. Waking up to such a beautiful view was priceless. The host, Marko, could not have been more accommodating! He gave us really helpful tips on what to see and do with our days in the area and we really got an authentic experience as we travelled to hidden spots. Could not recommend enough!!

Just perfect

The apartment is very comfortable and has the most amazing views over the beautiful property and the surrounding valley. Truely a good place to unwind. The host Marko is very helpful and nice. He is always willing to help any way he can. He has excellent tips for hikes, hidden bays and whatever else you would like to do in the region. Ask him about visiting the Beska monastery, you will not regret it. Marko makes a very decent wine and some spirits too, which you should not forget to try and buy.

Wow..what a special place. I could not describe our stay here any more elequonetly than others have already put, but if you enjoy something a little bit off the beaten track with the most stunning views of the mountains, do not hesitate to book. Marco is the most kind and generous host with unrivaled knowledge of the area. This place has grown from his passion and he enjoys sharing every part. The room looked just like in the pictures. It is well-decorated and it has amazing views of the mountains. The building itself sits on top of a hill and very private. Marko is the best host you could every have! We arrived quite late at night since our flight was delayed, and he was more than happy to welcome us despite our late arrival. Never miss the homemade breakfast! The breakfast was very delicious and quite copious :) 100% would stay here if ever we happen to be in Virpazar again.

Absolutely stunning

We stayed for four days and had an absolutely amazing time. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable. The view is truly stunning. Surrounded by nature and tranquility. Marko is the best host you could wish for. We could ask him everything and he was always available. We travelled with our 2 year old son and he too had a great time. We hope to return one day.
