Veronauptoyou Apartments

Ideal location for a short stopover in Verona. Very close to Ponte Pietro, Piazza Bra, Casa di Giulietta and other beautiful spots. Fell in love with Verona in one afternoon and will definitely return for a longer stay.

A nice apartment in an old renovated house opening out on to pretty garden. Well equipped and with excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the hot temperatures. We slept well. Very good communication with the host, Susanna, who gave us plenty of easy to follow instructions. Atmospheric, historic location in a real neighbourhood. A short walk along the river to town and the arena. We appreciated that the nice cleaner and Susanna let us stay on a few minutes as we needed to use the internet.

- The driveway, as expected, was hellish. As others have noted, it was nerve wracking reversing even a small car in there. Once in, the car was safe in a gated courtyard, so that was a big plus. - No coffee machine, would be welcome. - Cleaning fee is €35 so better for those staying a few nights rather than just overnight.

Great location across the river from the centre of Verona. Large bedroom and longe, well furnished, with a kitchenette and garden. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, with good comms. The a/c was welcome in the summer heat.

Parking for us with a larger vehicle was tricky. Although we tried very hard, we couldnt quite fit through the narrow passage to the property, so with the hosts advice, parked in a free parking area 10 minutes away.

Apartment in a quiet location, at a short (10-15 minutes) pleasant walk distance from the heart of Verona old town. Private parking. WiFi operational. Kitchenette, hot water, refrigerator/freezer.

Pillows are a overly firm to our liking (the mattress itself was good). For such a small apartment, it was a bit too ornate with things that took too much space. For instance a wall mounted coat rack would have been more useful than a tall bookcase. Luckily, we have a small city car (Toyota Yaris), because the entrance is very narrow and the court yard is quite small to manoeuvre, especially if there's already a car there. No bottle cap remover (there is one for corks). TV was not operational. Toilet seat was not tighten properly, it kept on sliding. It could have been the previous travelers not washing properly, but the cutlery was not spick and span. Being asked to sort for recycling, but not providing separate bins in the apartment to do so.
