My wife and I were extremely happy with our stay at La Porta del Mare in Tropea. We stayed for 7 nights and appreciated many things: excellent breakfast, phenomenal view of the sea, easy and free parking on the street in front of the hotel, well functioning and fast wifi, clean property, well-functioning air conditioning in the room, ease of access to the beach by private stairway, short walk to the historical old town where all the activity is each evening with many choices for food and items to buy, etc. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely go back.
There wasn’t really anything that we could say that we didn’t like about this property.

Receptionist was very friendly And the view and location good.
The manager was hard to get in contact with. We needed to shorten our stay with one day and he said that it was up to Booking and Booking said it was up to the hotel, Catch 22. So we had to pay for one extra night even that we checked out, poor handling. The rooms are very poor insulated why we were disturbed to late night by 3-4 loud Italian wimen.
