Wonderful area for a family vacation.

This charming old house is in a very good/central location, is relatively quiet, comes with a small covered garage—a plus, since street parking is $$—as well as a small outdoors patio.

The property has some steep stairs and the garage, accessible thru the back street, is challenging to open/close. In addition, to get to the house from the garage, one has to go down several levels of stairs (some pretty steep). Lastly, the host was not good at communicating with us before and during our stay.

Exceptional

This house was just perfect for a short break with our family. We were allowed straight in even though we arrived earlier than stated and the owner was extremely helpful and obliging. All the facilities were as listed and there were little extras in the kitchen, making us feel extremely welcome. The bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated and the bathroom clean with plenty of hot water. The house is situated perfectly for a lovely view of the boats and the stream train, with lots of choice of restaurants within easy walking distance. We have spent many lovely holidays in and around Saint Valery Sur Somme and will definitely stay in this super house again.

There is nothing to dislike about this property.

Het was een prettig huisje, maar ik zou er niet nogmaals naar toe gaan.

De ligging van het huis was prachtig aan het water, met zich op de haven

Het was moeilijk contact te krijgen met de eigenaar; hij reageerde meerdere maken niet op een bericht van ons. De garage lag in een andere hooggelegen straat achter het huis. Ophalen van de sleutel was lastig omdat er geen parkeerplek was voor het huis. Garage was krap en kon niet op slot. De keuken was ruim en goed uitgerust. Er zat schimmel in de koelkast en een kastdeurtje was kapot. Het huis was niet erg schoon.

Le côté atypique de la maison. Très bien située. En face du départ du train à vapeur. Très proche du centre. Le confort des lits. La terrasse agréable. Il vaut mieux être en bonne condition physique pour faire face à tous ces escaliers.

Les escaliers sont vraiment compliqués pour les personnes plus âgées + danger avec des enfants en bas âge. Le wifi ne fonctionnait pas et malgré notre signalement au propriétaire rien n'a été fait. Nous avons également signalé que le lave-vaisselle rend la vaisselle plus sale qu'avant de lancer le cycle. Aucun retour ne nous a été fait.

L’emplacement et le garage sont très appréciables

Maison peu ou pas entretenue, froide et humide. Des meubles de cuisine cassés, la vaisselle très sale. Le propriétaire ne répond à aucune question et envoi un copié collé de son message type quelques heures avant l’arrivée.

Vacances gâchées !!

L’emplacement

Litige ouvert le 25/08/2025 , en attente du remboursement total du séjour ( accord tel du 26/08/2025 de Booking et propriétaire ), photos envoyées le 26/08/2025, propreté ( draps pas changés , housses et matelas tachés d’urine, meubles cassés , carreaux cassés, ménage pas fait, etc.. pas sécurisé (manque des rembardes de protection , vide de 4m à pic a l’intérieur et 15m au niveau garage , escaliers extérieurs non éclairés et pas de rembarde , beaucoup de choses qui ne sont pas aux normes sécurité , terrasse vue mer c’est en réalité le garage etc… ns avons cherché tte la nuit un autre hébergement et sommes partis le lendemain .

Alles in allem haben wir uns wohl gefühlt und einen schönen Urlaub verbracht.

Küche sehr gut ausgestattet Große Betten Direkter Blick auf den Hafen und den Bahnhof/Dampflock. Diese Geräusche aber nicht als störend empfunden. Wifi funktionierte nicht, Problem wurde aber umgehend behoben. Der Vermieter ist nett, spricht aber nur französisch - aber google translator hilft….

Die Straße zum Zentrum verläuft unmittelbar am Haus vorbei. Verkehrsdichte phasenweise hoch und insbesondere die Motorräder sehr laut. Die Fenster isolieren jedoch gut. Die Treppen sind sehr steil, aber es ist halt ein altes Gebäude und es war ja auch mitgeteilt, dass die Betten nur über Treppen erreichbar sind. Es gibt eine Garage, wo ein mittelgroßer PKW eingestellt werden könnte. Unser Caddy mit verl. Radstand passte nicht. Man erhält einen Schlüssel für das Garagentor, welches aber nicht mit dem Schlüssel zu öffnen ist. Das Tor ist stark deformiert und ist von innen mit einem Schieber verriegelt, lässt sich aber öffnen. Von der Wohnung/Innenhof ist die Garage von innen erreichbar, die Treppen dorthin sind steil und teilweise ohne Geländer, somit ein nogo für mich (bin schwerbehindert). Jemand der fit ist sollte das problemlos schaffen. 15 Geh-Minuten entfernt ist am Ortsrand ein kostenloser Parkplatz - aber nur für max 210mm hohe Fahrzeuge. Also nichts für Wohnmobile. Die Gehstrecke war für mich leider nicht machbar. Die Höhenbeschränkung gilt auch für die Parkplätze im Ort mit Ausnahme der seitlich vom Fahrstreifen. Die Parkgebühr beträgt 25€/7h45 Parkdauer. Es gibt wohl auch ein 24h Ticket aber wir haben nicht herausgefunden wie das zu erstehen ist.

Hyper bien placée et spacieuse

Maison très agréable et spacieuse . Très bien placée à 5 mn à pied de toutes les commodities , boulangerie et marché. Les lits étaient très confortables et la maison est très bien équipée largement pour 6 . Petit bémol sur le wifi . Mais c’était super de faire du feu, merci pour les bûches . Propriétaire très sympathique qui fait tout pour arranger sur les départs et arrivées , un grand merci !

leuk verblijf

de locatie was heel leuk, direct aan het haventje. Het huis was proper. Nogal wat smalle en stijle trappen maar dat gaf wel charme. Kamers waren ruim, luchtig en proper. Keuken was in orde, geen probleem. De garage was wel heel klein voor een volvo xc60, net binnen geraakt! gelukkig, want er is nergens gratis parking! Leuk charmehuis helemaal in de stijl van de omgeving. Eerste indruk is raar maar eenmaal je uitgepakt bent is alles gezellig!
