Very disappointing Overpriced and misrepresented

The outside space

Pictures were misleading. Property was tired. Kitchen equipment needed replacing. Broken furniture. Arranged to arrive at 4pm and then wasn’t allowed to pick up the key until 6

Lovely house, suggest needs a little attention. Geraldine was very helpful, although quite a challenge in communicating

Great location, good size bedrooms and bathrooms.

Getting hypo allergenic bedding seemed to be quite a challenge, never had an issue before with any guest house/Airbnb. One of the ‘pillows’ was an extremely uncomfortable cushion. The living room cannot seat 8 guests, there are only 2 fairly uncomfortable sofas. The kitchen also doesn’t seat 8 guests. The towels are very poor, frayed, very small & need replacing in my opinion. To reply to the property response, I requested hypo-allergenic bedding on 23/12 - 4 days before arrival, the property was booked from 27/12 at 1600. The owner (who spoke English) insisted on contact with Geraldine who spoke no English whatsoever. The comments made were perfectly valid & not dissimilar to other guest comments, I hope you will take as constructive.

Lovely stay

The house is tastefully decorated. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. The location is good - very quiet but central - just a few minutes walk to the main streets and the bay. Beds are comfortable - Mind that all duvets and pillows, as well as most cushions on the sofa have feathers/down. There was one spare hypoallergenic duvet.

I think that we have been unlucky with the person opening for us. We asked her about parking options and she didn't know about nearby free spaces, we paid €40 per car for 4 days, I mentioned this after our stay to the owner who said we should have been offered a parking discount by the person welcoming us at check in. Mind that the first floor has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Second floor has 2 bedrooms, no bathroom. A further bathroom is on the ground floor. Floor boards and stairs are very noisy (squeaky). Good to know for future guests; seating in the lounge is for four guests only. There are 8 chairs in the dining room though.

Beautiful house, amazing location, no parking

The house is very beautiful and was very clean. The rooms are all big and the bathrooms are wonderful. The main benefit is the central location - it's very quiet but just a few minutes walk to the main streets and the bay.

The only complaint would be that there's not much communal seating in the evenings, only really enough sofa space for 4 people. There's a lovely dining room and we ate in the kitchen too, but there were 5 of us which was difficult in the evenings. Also there is no free parking in St Valery, so we parked outside the town.

Great break in lovely property with delightful surroundings.

The owner was extremely helpful when contacted. Responded very quickly and fully addressed our enquiries. The house was delightful and very clean. The bathrooms were amazing. The walk into the town centre was not far, but warning should be given that quite hilly for less fit.

It would have been nice to find a few tea bags or bit of coffee and milk on arrival. Also, a bit of soap in loo would have been helpful. These little touches make a big impact on arrival after long journey. To our taste, some of the beds rather hard.

Superbe séjour , je recommande la villa

Qualité de l’accueil , propreté, 4 très belles chambres et deux magnifiques salles de bain, 2 wc, très calme , proche du centre ville , très bien équipé, dans les hauteurs de saint Valery

Escalier un peu raide pour accéder au deuxième étage, mais heureusement il y a une rampe

La localisation tout près du centre. Possibilité de se garer devant le logement. Très bel extérieur neuf avec grande plancha / barbecue. Très bon accueil de Géraldine, le logement est très cosy et les salles de bains sont immenses

Le logement devient un peu vieillot et il commence à y avoir pas mal de petites choses gênantes comme le robinet de la cuisine non fixé, porte de douche de la salle de bains du haut impossible à fermer car pas droite, tiroirs de la cuisine devraient tous être réglés, couverts, verres et quelques ustensiles de plus dans la cuisine ne serait pas un luxe. Logement pour 8 personnes mais on ne sait pas manger à 8 ni dans la cuisine ni dans la salle à manger les tables ne sont pas assez grandes

La maison est très grande L’extérieur est vraiment agréable (encore mieux que sur les photos) Le quartier est particulièrement calme (séjour en août) Tout est vraiment propre et avec beaucoup de cachet Les 4 chambres sont chacune très spacieuses tout comme les salles de bain Emplacement très proche du centre ville

L’impossibilité de faire une arrivée et un départ autonome, devoir se fixer rendez-vous est assez contraignant bien que notre interlocutrice soit très disponible par messages Les fournitures ne sont pas adaptées à une maison avec autant d’occupants (8) pour deux nuits, un seul sac poubelle, peu de papier toilette, les distributeurs de savon et liquide vaisselle rempli avec seulement un fond

La taille du logement, la propreté, l'emplacement à 800 metres du centre ville, les salles de bain sont très belles, le jardin est bien aménagé avec un beau barbecue. L'accueil etait également très courtois
