Horse Fair Apartments in Birmingham City Centre by HF Group

The apartment was large and very clean with a comfortable bed and a powerful shower. The location was very walkable; literally around the corner from Gay Village and Chinatown. The Mailbox and Bullring were both less than 10 minutes away. There was a good fan, as the was no A/C.

There was a fair amount of street noise during the day but it stopped at night. Even with the fan the apartment was a little warm but bearable. The location of the apartment is unattractive but the apartment was very nice.

The location was perfect as we were attending a concert at the O2 Academy. Comfortable bed and sofa bed, and having a fridge is always nice. Fans were great too with this heat.

A few spots weren’t completely clean, but it has been a very warm week and it wasn’t anything major.

- Nice apartment for a short stay - very comfortable bed - good water pressure in shower - Extremely close to Hippodrome theatre -comfortable sofa - booked last minute (due to other accommodation cancelling 15 mins before check in)and was the flat available within the hour to check in - very friendly office staff who manage bookings - good size smart tv in living room

- 8 digit code on touchscreen door handle which never worked first time, sometimes it would recognise presses other times it wouldn’t. I can’t express how frustrating this lock is. - dirty cutlery left in dishwasher - had to provide photo of passport and credit card to gain access to property. This was through their own portal. - £150 deposit ontop of cost, even tho booking.com says it’s included in price. This was through their own portal. - can hear every noise from outside including cars, music and chatter - 10am checkout (£40ph extra for later checkout) - the walls are very thin and you can hear regular adult activity’s. - the heating (electric heaters) are on a timer which leads to the property (especially the bedroom) being freezing cold or boiling hot (normally freezing on a morning and boiling at night). - In the conditions you must agree to prior to getting access it states that changes to the heating may be charged to an additional fee. The conditions you must sign before getting access also state all of the possible additional fees, and there is a lot. Since you have to submit a credit card, it is worrying what there going to charge you for after you leave. This should all be in the listing and not as a surprise after you’ve already booked.
