Relaxing, stressfree and quiet.

The room was clean bright and comfortable. It had everything I needed - tea, coffee, fridge, a table to sit at and a clean comforatable bed. Parking was good. I would stay there again.

The only thing I didn't like, and it is a minor thing, is that I had to turn the main lights on to make a cuppa. It would have been nice to have had a lamp or something in the kitchenette area so you didn't have to turn the main light on to see.

Gorgeous big comfy bed. Nice little kitchen area. Lovely touch with a welcome bottle of fizz.

Minor comment but would have been handy to have gate to separate our little area for the dogs.

Comfortable and relaxing stay

Thistledene was conveniently located just a short distance from a lovely bustling little town. The room was lovely and clean and spacious. It had everything we needed and loved that it had a coffee machine where we could make a delicious drink using local milk which was also left in the fridge. The beds were very comfortable. Also such a quiet location. Unsure if there were other guests but we didn’t hear a peep. Would highly recommend and absolutely stay again in the future as close to local beaches and amenities. 10/10

Another amazing stay

As always a warm welcome, excellent facilities and a great location. We’ve been staying at Thistledean for quite a few years now with our border collie. Always recommend it to family and friends.

The bed was very comfortable. Adequate storage for clothes. Appreciated the fan which was quiet , a bonus. Towels appreciated. Tea and coffee making facilities. Fridge, with milk in. Some welcome cookies, teabags, sugar. Toaster. Tasteful decor. Quiet location, T.V. Great for the price. William Arms, a quaint thatched pub & restaurant nearby.

The entrance doorstep into the room, was a bit high for me but OK for my husband.

Perfect venue for 2 couples attending local wedding

2 lovely rooms with comfortable 6 foot beds. Milk supplied in mini fridge with a variety of teas and coffees. Sarah was very helpful when we arrived, although instructions were clear.

Big tree obstructs view while reversing out of drive! Not really a problem though.

Super accommodation in a great location for the area with very welcoming & friendly hosts

Location was great, just a short less than 10 minute walk into the village with its excellent selection of shops, pub’s & restaurants It was excellent for what we needed for our short 2 night stay and the hosts were lovely, very helpful & accommodating

A brilliant few days in a magic part of the country

It’s a very nicely proportioned room. Very comfy, private parking off road , a short walk from the town centre. A nice boulevard .

I was hoping for a hob or microwave to cook a breakfast but ironically I found a better option at Blue Groove in Croyde !

Sarah kindly took the time to greet me as I arrived late in the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Was nice and peaceful. Great location close to all amenities. Good size room. Biscuits, coffee machine and fresh milk were very welcome. Will definitely return.

Saunton Golf Trip

Everything! Location, facilities, the hosts. Lovely room with a really big comfortable bed. A little kitchen area with a fridge is a real bonus. Super quiet yet really central to where you need to be. Really can’t fault it and we won’t hesitate to book again.

Plenty of parking. Large rooms. Bedrooms comfortable. Nice size garden with a lovely size hot tub. We had a slight issue, which was resolved very quickly.

Was lacking some basics for such a large group. Could only seat 8, at most, round dining table although we were a family of 9 adults. Same for living area, only enough comfortable chairs for 7. Could also do with some more relaxing chairs in the garden. No microwave.

Thistledene is in a perfect location, a short walk from the high street with shops, bars and restaurants, and Braunton is driving distance to lots of other beautiful places. The hosts are lovely people and very welcoming. The place was spotless with good facilities - the mini fridge with washing up facilities were very useful. The room got very warm but they provided a fan.
