Thistledene

Relaxed, clean, quiet and central for all our needs. Lovely family owned place.

Excellent facilities, spotlessly clean and carefully thought out. Communication was easy before and during our stay.

Very large, very comfortable bed, there was milk in the fridge, tea and coffee and a fridge with a small frozen compartment. There’s a nice quiet little seating area outside the property We met the owner Sarah, lovely lady and her dog Rosie We was there for my daughter to attend for a wedding, but after enjoyed a nice relaxing stay, and the location of the property is very good for all the shops and restaurants which were only a 10 minute walk We were only there overnight, but definitely stay there again for longer.

I think a microwave would be more useful than a coffee machine Apart from that, I have no dislikes at all

The room was clean and had lots of extras which were fabulous and clear that they had done the extra mile.

When we got there they had not received the full information from booking.com so we had a super king bed rather than twin beds as we had requested through booking.com. Made a phone call and was made to feel it was my fault and then when they came to change the beds it was really awkward and made us both feel incredibly unwelcome with the tone that they were clearly put out. We offered to have the covers and so it ourselves but they insisted. Couldn’t wait to leave.
