We booked one night for the two of us as part of a larger trip in Penang, we wanted to explore the other side of the island from Georgetown Chalet was charming cozy, had everything we needed for the night, and provided a fun getaway. The village had the cat sanctuary which was really nice, and restaurants. We had a night in as there didn’t seem to be much to do after dark. It is a short walk to the national park entrance which was practical.
Owner forgot to provide toilet paper (which wasn’t really a problem but apologised in the morning, I’m sure if we had asked for some they would have quickly given us some.

Jay & Lan were incredibly helpful. Provided special dietary breakfast . Found us a tour guide with car. Excellent cooling upstairs & downstairs. Comfortable beds
Bathroom very tiny & toilet gets wet but it dries quickly

The location was good and was close to food and the National Park hiking trail, starting point. The owner of the accommodation was friendly and helpful. Accommodation had nice fan and AC working, as well as hot water for shower, fridge, kettle, toaster, and small oven, which was great.
The place allowed mosquitoes to get inside, which could not be prevented, so it was a challenge to keep them away from us whilst sleeping. Nearby road out front, had motorbike traffic noise and kids playing at all hours, which made it a little uncomfortable and a noisy stay, just keep that in mind.
