The Ark Cottage

modern plug in oven bedroom windows opened lovely with the sound of either a river or trees soothing you to sleep. outside space was lovely french doors opening out to garden were lovely washing machine and clothes airer The cottage felt very clean to me. worth keeping the bird feeder supplied as an amazing array of busy small birds to watch. lovely 15 minute walk from Eden Project. Really try not to drive. Very accessible area to lots nearby so we didn't need to drive far. Local Tesco store 10 minutes drive away but we got delivery anyway.

kitchen sink big cracks but mended and safe exposed works under floor where new pipes had been put in, in the front conservatory very small amount of natural light in the sitting room 5 litre tank of hot water for washing up, then wait about 15 mins to get another lot of hot water. By the time it had run through you were down to about 3 litres! So we boiled the kettle if we needed more. But there was a dishwasher - we don't use dishwashers. Shower small and not a proper working hanging catch for the shower head lead. Small up and down steps. For our longer car, a long walk from the car parking spaces as we didn't want to turn/reverse into neighbour's property. So tricky for someone with mobility issues. 2 seater sofa was comfy but a three (and there was space for this) would have been better in my opinion.

Cosy cottage for two. Excellent quiet location. Lovely garden especially enjoyed watching the varied Birdlife Finches and even a woodpecker. Cottage was warm and comfortable.

Everything was fine

The cottage was in a really good location. The garden and bird feeding area are idyllic especially as you see them from a lovely little conservatory. And only a 20 minute walk from the eden project. Loved that there was a dishwasher and washing machine if needed.

The bathroom was very dated especially the shower. The shower head needed to be replaced as it was very weak and not enjoyable to use. My partner however thought it was fine!
