Warm and cosy but disappointed by parking.

A warm and cosy cottage after a long days hike in the heart of the village.

We were told the nearby parking was not available at the last minute so worth checking before you book. There was also no dust pan and brush or spatula!

The cottage was warm and welcoming.

The down stairs loo could do with a toilet brush and holder otherwise all good

The property location was excellent, couldn't ask for anything better.

The property didn't feel like it had been cleaned properly, cutlery and plates had been put away but were not fully washed. The beds were average on a comfort level with very thin, aging covers.

Loved our stay ,cottage perfect location for beach walks and amenities.

Large Lounge, Great Location close to pub and beach . Parking permit provided which was a real bonus, as otherwise we would have to have parked in main car park which is at the top off steep hill .

Pots and pans needed a good clean before I used them . Some noise each evening after closing time from the Smugglers arms, moving barrels etc not people noise and usually lasted and hour between 11and 12pm each night .

top location, private parking space was the best as it was peak season.good size property.

the kitchen needs a deep clean. all storage drawers and in cupboards etc. cooking pots etc were not big for a family stay. windows need a clean, black mold on a few not healthy.

Peaceful and picturesque

Lovely cottage, with plenty of character, fantastic location. Host made sure we had all the information we needed for check in

There were lots of times cafe's and shops were closed. At one point, it seemed almost everywhere was closed all day (Tuesday). Not the hosts fault, but was just thinking of that's a regular local thing, I wondered if it could be included in the information?

Space, comfort, and facilities in the cottage were excellent. The location was convenient for all shops, cafes, and harbour with good access to coastal walks.

Nice cottage in a nice location not a lot to dislike.

Location of property was excellent, close to all amenities.

Heating thermostat and timer took a bit of understanding, obviously we don’t want to be wasting gas in this day and age. A slightly earlier check in time would have been better, but not a big issue.

Great location and perfect for a short stay for 2

Set in the heart of lower Robin Hoods Bay literally 50 yards from the slip down to the beach. Two good sized bedrooms. Spacious lounge. Guest parking pass provided for carpark a few minutes walk away.

Lacking a dish washer or washing machine. No chopping board. A few cobwebs and a little grubby on sloping ceiling over cooker on arrival.

lovely spacious, warm and cosy cottage. Ideally situated 1 minute from slipway in lower bay. Cottage suitably equipped for a family with large kitchen with seating and large and spacious living room. Large smart tv with all the apps and super comfy beds 🥳🙌🏻 Love the skylight in the bathroom for star gazing 🥰

Please be careful of the large rug in the living room as it moves and bunches up; terrible trip hazard 🫣 Could do with some of those rug gripper things 👍🏻🏡

Picturesque location in the heart of the village. Close to pubs and restaurants. Beautifully appointed bath, shower and toilet facilities. Plenty for all of us. Well equipped kitchen that was cosy to eat in. Spacious lounge with big TV and lots of channels.

Very minor point...couldn't find dustbins so couldn't take out the rubbish.

February stay in Robin Hood's Bay

Location - quaint and very close to the sea. Easily accessible to the village and other towns via bus. House was a good size for 3 adults, lots of space.

We loved the location. It was like going back in time. To live in a historical place like robin hood's bay is quite something. The cottage was clean enough.the price is very good. Beds were comfortable and It was quite cosy.

The amenities in the cottage were not quite satisfactory. There was no dishwasher or washing machine. The check in time is 5pm which is very late as we pay for the whole day but not allowed to get in till 5pm which is ridiculous. It was pitch dark as well and we had an old person with us. Of course you are already told not to request the early check in. The manual was not clear enough where the recycling bin goes.

Exceptional

An amazing cottage in one of the country's most beautiful villages. Brincliffe is a treasure hidden away in Robin Hood's Bay. The cottage was spotlessly clean, renovated to a very high standard and had everything we needed. The owner made sure we had all the information necessary for our stay. The location was great, very close to the beach, cafes and pubs yet so quiet at night time. I can't praise this cottage enough, it has helped my family to make happy memories. The only downside was that we were only able to stay for 2 nights, I could happily have spent much longer there.

Just a note to say the downstairs shower needs unblocking as the tray was flooding when we took a shower, I was worried the water was going to spill out onto the floor. I’m sure a bottle of mr muscle will do the trick 😊

Lovely cottage in great location.

The location was excellent right in the old part of the village and ideal for coastal walks. The property is well maintained comfortable and clean. Would definitely return for longer stay.

The spiral stairs isn't very suitable for all people, also maybe for longer stay a dishwasher would be handy.

Perfect relaxing stay.

The property is one of the best in Robin Hoods Bay (we’ve stayed in quite a few). You couldn’t get a better location and it is one of the larger cottages at the bottom of the bay. Clean, beautifully decorated with everything you’d need. Highly recommended
