The Cygnet

I stayed here with my Son and his partner for 4 days. I have no complaints at all. The check in and check out was easy and straightforward. The host was available on Whats App, when we had any questions before, during and after our stay. She was very helpful, polite and professional. The cottage was perfect for all our needs, well equipped, Lovely and warm and cosy. We had access to the garden which was huge, beautiful and wild, with an orchard, a variety of trees, and on the doorstep of a lovely walk to the local farm shop. I'm hoping we can come back one day and stay a bit longer.

I really can't think of anything I didnt like. I guess at a push I could suggest a grab rail in the shower for older/disabled guests, but I managed. A piece of general advice if you dont have your own transport (we didnt) Taxi services aren't like they are in big towns/cities. They need to be booked in advance, That's if you can find one that's not booked up, and they can be quite expensive.

A well equipped and cozy cottage in a relaxing setting. The hosts are really lovely.

The property was located around West Bay and in an ideal location for us as we had our own transportation. Crewkerne was only 5 minutes away and was the closest place for shopping.

I booked this for my husbands parents to come and visit us but unfortunately a week before their arrival they had a catastrophic house fire and lost everything. They had to get emergancy passports so touch and go whether they would make it but they did and they were really in need of a comfortable base during their stay while they recovered from the shock. To arrive and find the very thoughtful owner had left a selection of essentials was a godsend ; teabags, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and a lovely bottle of cider plus lots of other useful bits fairy liquid etc etc. really made a difference and as they were unable to bring them from home saved them a lot of hassle. The heating was turned on before their arrival so it was beautiful and warm after their long journey from France. Really comfortable and a lovely log fire plus heating. Parking by the front door ( which is behind the house so very private) and a little patio which on nice days would be good. Very comfortable beds and basically a nice little home from home with everything - books, games, nice shower, good location very quite but in a village close to lots of other places like Yeovil and Crewkerne which is a gorgeous town. Crewkerne has a Waitrose, banks, restaurants, pubs, butcher, bakers, hardware, eveything you could need or go to Yeovil and that is a big town with every amenity you could need. Will 100% be rebooking in the future!

Nothing it was lovely. Really hard to find fault even though I have rattled my brain it would be very unjust to mention anything because it was delightful.
