Hollyhedge Cottage

Quiet location despite one of the two village pubs being only 100 yards away (the other one, The Three Horseshoes, was better for food). The garden was perfect and we appreciated the barbecue.

We could find no coffee making facilities at all (no instant coffee either), which was surprising as the kitchen was otherwise very well equipped.. we found the website instructions a bit confusing about towels too- you have to bring your own. the other thing that was not obvious was that to get to the bathroom downstairs the occupants of one bedroom have to pass through another bedroom. The third bedroom (on the ground floor) is also very narrow.

Really quaint cottage, everything you could need in the kitchen. Comfortable beds. Lovely log open fire - wonderful on a wet early spring evening. Garden was fully dog friendly and beautiful flowers.

Hubby who is 6 foot 2 hit his head a few times on the beams. Low headroom be expected if you book a quaint English country cottage,
