Old towels, mustiness which when windows & doors opened up disappeared

Location, convenience to Staveley, access to walks.
Overwhelming strong smell of damp on arrival that persisted despite opening all windows and lighting the stove.
3 very damp walls in living room, several damp patches on bedroom ceiling and walls, many damp patches on bathroom ceiling and black mould around bath.
Shower panel doesn’t stay open.
Owner attended to view the damp and appeared unaware of it, £75 reduction offered. We understand they are now undertaking work on the property.
Didn’t like how other car owners parked directly in front of living room window - obstructing the view, when Parking is available for guests using adjacent properties elsewhere.

Cost and comfortable. Stunning location from which to explore area. Lovely to meet owners who came to check we had everything we needed.
Needed heated towel rail or poor towels for length of stay.

Fabulous views, log fire with free logs, everything worked fine, good WiFi signal.
Shower door not very good, needs curtain. Double bed quite hard.

Lovely location.Just right for the 2of us.Well equipped.
Very bad smell in double bedroom which we found out to be mould around the window and across the back wall.Bath towels could have been a bit bigger. The washing up bowl could have done with replacing and the cheese grater was rubbish.

Spectacular location set in rolling hills with mountains in the distance and surrounded by sheep. It feels like a little bit of heaven tucked up a valley.

Location and view was fantastic being on a hillside. Bungalow was comfortable for 2/3 people. Great for walking locally/chilling out or just a lovely base to explore from.
My only complaint would be the small damp patch which had effected the beds Valence, this was resolved with the owners once informed .

The road up to the property - I didn't want to drive it after dark which restricted our stay a bit.

Lovely location ,living area very small and a bit tierd, sofa wasn’t really usable very uncomfortable, bedroom nice , strong smell of damp mould on corners of walls.
The damp ,longe rashly just too small to put real fire in set up quite odd, shame as great location but as far as comfort goes we struggled .

Wonderful location, views, walks from the house. The cottage was cosy.
A few small items would make a difference. The kitchen needs a breadboard, better chopping knives and a few spare bin bags of better quality.
A spare toilet roll would have been welcome!

It felt quite remote, surrounded by hills and sheep. A lovely wood burning stove.
Could have been more cutlery cleaning products and cookware.

Little bungalow with fantastic views. We stayed there for 1 week. Our daughter had some space outside to play.
We did few beautiful walks, as the bungalow is very close to some footpaths and spend evenings by the fire.
Great fish and chips shop, local brewery and best ever bakery in the village.
Highly recommended.
Kitchen could be a bit better equipped but saying that we were able to cook a meal every evening. Bring your own tea, coffee, etc.

Fantastic scenic location above the cute little village of Staveley. Staveley has lots of facilities including shops cafes and excellent Mimis Gelati! Completely self contained so we felt very secure from a COVID point of view. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent owner who fixed all problems including a broken washing machine very promptly. Great walking from outside the front door. Lovely stream and waterfall nearby for kids to play in.
No major issues. A functioning heater in the bathroom would have been handy for drying things.

The location was really nice. Amazing views. A shame that the other buildings are so close to each other.
Easy to find with the sat nav.
Very hard mattress, didn't get much sleep unfortunately.
Only one roll of toilet roll and one bin bag provided. Over all had all the essentials but would expect a bit more for that price.

Cosy, warm on arrival, comfortable stay. Basic amenities provided.
Poor communication regarding keys. Two adjacent cottages housing large groups of noisy people. Expensive for what you get.
