Gea suite

First impressions of the location of the B and B was alittle doubtful as we had to go up an alley off a narrow street to get to the building. However after initial exploring we realised that this was just historic Naples. We did not feel unsafe or concerned. It was great for the metro and the train station which could be reached by foot. As for the accommodation, we could not fault it. The bedroom and bathroom were extremely clean, modern and functional. The bedroom had everything you would need; aircon, black out blinds, double glazing and enough plug sockets too. Even a little fridge which came in handy. The location wasn’t too noisy (bearing in mind the World Cup was going on and the local bar was televising it on a big screen.) I generally do not sleep well when I am away but the room was so comfortable (semi hard bed) that I slept like a log. The breakfast had a very good selection (my daughter was tempted everyday by the fresh pastries!) I had read previous reviews which is why we chose Gea Suite with amazing comments abut the owner.It is all true! Giuseppe was so kind and helpful; from arranging airport transfers, recommending local eateries and sharing his knowledge of the area. You could see that he genuinely wanted to provide a high quality service for his guests. A perfect host. Would definitely recommend this place.

There was nothing not to like.

Wonderful central location in the historic centre of old Naples. Owner Giuseppe is very friendly and helpful, perfect fluent english. Room is very comfortable, air conditioned, fridge, beautifully decorated. Lovely balcony to sit out at night. Quiet small side street / alley but very safe. Lovely bathroom with large shower. Breakfast is nice with Giuseppe in attendance to ensure everybody has adequate food and beverages. He is also great for local advice. Location is ideal for restaurants, sight seeing - most tourist sights within a short walk. About 20 min walk from Naples Central Station for bus & rail connections.

Not much. Property can be a little difficult to find at first as it is in a small alley off another small lane but again the owner is always on hand via Whatsapp to assist and will meet you outside or nearby if having problems with locating the address.

Excellent location

This is a slightly unusual hotel, located on the second floor of a building where part of the floor has been converted into a few hotel rooms. There is no reception, and from the outside you would never know it was a hotel until you reach the door leading to the rooms. To get to the hotel, you enter through a courtyard that almost feels like Naples – worn facades, narrow passages and an authentic atmosphere reminiscent of the older parts of the city. The first impression is therefore perhaps not the most appealing. But once inside, the feeling changes completely. The rooms are nice, fresh and very clean, and we received a warm and friendly welcome when we arrived. The location is also a big plus. Restaurants and shopping are right outside the door, and just a few blocks away there is a street with a great selection of restaurants. A real highlight is Antica Pizzeria Port'Alba, about a ten minute walk from the hotel. The pizzeria dates back to 1738 and serves absolutely delicious Neapolitan pizza. It is almost worth a visit to Naples in itself! Overall, this is a hotel with a rather unique setting and an unusual entrance, but with lovely, clean rooms, a very warm welcome and a fantastic location

I would have liked to have had a little more information about the hotel and the area before I booked, it was a surprise when you are used to there being a reception and entrance so you would have been prepared for what to expect.
