Enjoyed two night stay at good size apartment in central location with free car parking available.

Central location surrounded by town centre shops, pubs and eateries. Free car parking for 2 hours in town centre car park from 8am 'til 6pm (unrestricted from 6pm 'til 8am). Easy check-in-with keys in lockbox. Good size apartment. Full kitchen facilities. Excellent wifi. Two dogs in our party enjoyed as well.

We both loved our stay at the flat! When we are next in Kelso we would definetly look to book again

Love the location. Supermarket within walking distance, plenty of independent shops and coffee shops to browse at. Farmer Market was on right outside the flat. Super cosy flat with cosy lighting. Perfect place for the two of us. Spacious with cupboards where we can put spare shopping bags etc. large dining table where we could eat together, super comfy couches too. Flat was very clean and tidy. Welcome note on side table as you walk in. Information leaflets about the area/what to see, taxi numbers, takeaway menus etc. Hosts happy to help where possible super friendly.

Over the weekend the square was very noisy with car exhausts, people shouting, glass bottles breaking.

It was ok, but generally NOT in £1250/wk league!

Everything apart from below was fine.

• Advert doesn’t lie but is misleading. Beds & bath /wc on 3rd floor…. Up 64 steps from street level • Oven does not work properly • Kettle not working at all • Not really a well-equipped kitchen • Double bedroom has a small Hobbit wardrobe • Hard pillows • Bathroom extract fan is broken • 6 light bulbs missing or broken, others wrong bulbs. • TV is inaudible • Has a river view, only if you stand on the bed • The town clock chimes every 15 minutes • At night you have to lock up for the hair salon below • Visitor’s information says the key is at a coffee shop…… which closes at 3.30pm • Not fair value for the money charged • Needs a little more attention to detail and would be so much better

Really good accommodation.

Very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Good seating in the living room. Nice bedroom with very comfortable bed. Access was easy once we worked out where the flat is located (opposite the photo of The Square).

Ideally, we would have preferred not to have to go upstairs to the loo.

A fabulous stay in a delightful apartment in a superb location.

We loved our stay at The Square. The location was superb and we loved having breakfast overlooking the town. We only used the apartment to sleep in and have breakfast as my brother had a much larger property five minutes walk away, but it seemed very well equipped and suited our needs very well.

The shower! The water pressure is poor and we had to boost the heating the first few days as the water was cold. A recycling bin in the kitchen would be useful. The double bed does sag a bit in the middle, but for a sole occupant it was fine and I slept very well there. It was hot during our stay so both bedrooms would benefit from a fan.

Great location - overlooking the square. Bedding was clean and crisp Bedrooms light and airy Soft towels WiFi was good and I was able to work all day with no interruptions to the connection

I was hit by a musty smell as soon as I got in - not sure if there had been pets with previous guests (there were dog hairs on the cushions). I put scented candles on during my stay but it only masked the smell. Disappointed to not get any kind of welcome pack as others have mentioned in previous reviews. After 8 hours of driving a pint of milk would have been welcomed. There was half a bag of opened Taylor’s coffee in the cupboard, but that was stale, and a few teabags at the bottom of a jar. The shower was poor as stated in many reviews, so it’s a shame nothing has been done. And I’d specifically asked ahead of booking if it was ok as I have long hair and was told it was fine. It’s not! During one shower it sounded like the pump kicked in and it was glorious! But sadly it didn’t come on again so all others showers were a trickle. No contact from owners at all throughout my stay - unusual for Kelso - I’ve always had a warm welcome on my many visits and a check in that all is ok - but nothing at all this time. It was good to have a washing machine but it had a lot of mould inside so that could do with a really good clean

Extremely central location being on the town square. Restaurants, shops and bars all within easy walking distance. Some previous reviews mention noise but apart from a slight rumble of a few vehicles over the cobbles it was very quiet and peaceful.

This is a great two bedroom apartment. Clean tidy and well appointed. Great location in the centre of a lovely town. The apartment is on the second floor so there are steps but worth the climb. Suitable for a short or longer stay.

There appears to be a power shower but it only worked sporadically.

it was great!

a lovely apartment overlooking the town square. on two floors with lounge / dining area and kitchen, then short flight upstairs to a double, and a twin bedroom and bathroom. Well decorated, immaculately presented. Very grateful for the welcome pack including nibbles and fresh milk. Everything available in the kitchen to self cater if you wish. I used the double bedroom at the back of the flat; it was very quiet and I slept well. nice full bath with an overhead shower. A helpful info pack with FAQs to hand.

trivial comment but I banged my head on the boiler in the kitchen when using the bin. the fact that I did it more than once reflects on me I suspect? The flat is up two wide well lit flights of stairs, but this is mentioned in the details and didn't impact me.

Superb

A lovely bright apartment overlooking the square in Kelso. Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. We much appreciated the treats left for us! The apartment made a very good base to explore the local area, there were plenty of walks from Kelso and nearby. Good places to eat in Kelso and shops on the doorstep.

I booked last year as the location and price were perfect but was notified of price changes for this year- so while we loved staying at the apartment it’s now completely out of our price bracket which is a shame.

Nice visit

Flat is lovely. Very clean. Very central. Although be aware there are 4 sets of stairs to access it.

Being central did mean the bedroom at the front did get a lot of noise. People leaving bars at 12.30sh. The cobbles in the street are lovely however the downside is that while in bed you hear every vehicle going over them. The bin men also were emptying the bins at 6.30am & we heard every bin being done! The next night we slept in the back room which was so peaceful.
