A nice stay right in the city center.

The location was incredible. Right in the city center next to the Markt. It's an entire two-storey apartment with enough bedding for two couples at least. The place was clean. You don't even need to eat out if you don't want to as the apartment has a fully functional kitchen. The pricing was very very good. The stairs are narrow, but it's the Netherlands. I found it hilarious (in a good way). I can imagine that climbing up to the attic can be dangerous if you've had a few of the local beers.

Only minor inconveniences - I had to pay for the city tax via bank transfer, which proved to be a bit complicated for me (probably my fault). The place is extremely noisy as it's right next to the local pubs; however, the owners were kind enough to leave ear plugs next to the bed. The bed could be a tiny bit better, it felt like there's a small hole in the middle (I didn't care about it much though).

Fine stay in the centre of Middelburg

The location is great for visiting Middelburg since it is at the heart of the city, close to bars and restaurants. The house has big windows and the ones on the 2nd floor can open widely which is good for ventilation.

The location also happens to be next to 2 pubs/bars so it is very loud at night. Not accessible for people with reduced mobility since there are very steep stairs to get to any of the facilities.

Stylish and atmospheric multi-level apartment, with typically Dutch stairs

The apartment is very spacious and has a lot of sleeping options. We used the bedroom on the second floor and the extra double bed under the roof, which were both very comfortable. There is a nice seating area on the first floor as well, great for spending some time together. Everything is quite modern, including the kitchen and the shower. Everything was very clean and cozy, and much bigger than I expected. Great value for money. The location is perfect, a stone's throw from the main highlights of the centre and easy to find, especially on foot. The owner also sent more detailed instructions on how to find a free parking street (some 10 min walk) or where to park for a fee, which was quite helpful. We only spent one night, but I can easily imagine staying longer!

The description states free parking, which led us to believe it is actually parking available next to the house. It turned out to be a street some 900m away: a good tip, but it could have been clearer that the parking wasn't at the apartment itself. And just something to be aware of: the stairs are quite steep and may not be suitable for families with little kids or for people who have difficulties climbing stairs. It was not a problem for any of us, but it would help to have it stated clearly in the description.

Disappointing stay in noisy city centre appartement.

The living room and the kitchen

The noise from the nearby cafe ( open till 5 am!). The crowded bedrooms, with too small beds. The narrow staircase and the very narrow entrance.

AC didn't work, it took a while to convince the owner that this was the case, after multiple attempts of dealing with issues on our own and failing, probably due to malfunction, we were offered a discount, which was a nice gesture but we almost boiled in the apartment as it was 30 degrees outside. hair in the shower drain despite a card in the bathroom specifically stating it was cleaned after each guests. Owner was very polite and answer us directly, when we have some question, easy to communicate. Location was good. There is park place and markets next to the property. Typical dutch houses.

I don't know why, I couldn't feel in a property which is extremely clean. Maybe there are too much stuff around which can collect all the dust in the air. We have stayed in garret, maybe because of that I felt so.

This beautiful apartment is very central in Middelburg. It have lovely touches and everything that you need for a fantastic stay. It was clean and comfortable. A lovely oasis after a day exploring the city. The staff were prompt and helpful.

Cosy apartment, very central.

There was no heating in the bathroom nor in the upper bedroom, while in the lower one there was a radiator, but it was not working. Bedrooms are located under the roof, and being quite a cold night, we noticed the absence of heating. The free parking, which in the description seems to be provided together with the apartment, in the reality is located a good kilometer away. On the bedside table there was a box of wax ear plugs: we didn't use them, but I guess it might be a noisy neighborhood sometimes.

Overall, it was a well located and neat little apartment. The host clearly communicated how to get there and how to access the apartment.

The booking.com listing didn’t make it clear that the second double bed was in the eaves of the attic with minimal head room. This second room was very hot and stuffy and wasn’t really suitable for the adult in our party (although it would be excellent for children I am sure!) Our other main issue was the lack of extraction power (we used the extractor fan but this was virtually useless) We tried to use the frying pan to make pancakes which set off the fire alarm. All the windows in the kitchen are sealed shut which did not help with the ventilation.

Location could not be better. Apartment has all the basics necessary. Always pleasant to be greeted with a bottle of wine.

Not recommended for families with children under 3 or 4, as the steps are steep and spiral. Check out time is a little early than what we're used to.

There are 2 rooms (apartments) with one entrance door. One on the ground floor and other (ours) on the first and second floor. Neighbour was silent but was smoking a lot of joints and it was stinky... Also no ventilation... not possible to open the windows on the first floor.

Just the worst where I was. Only one room, we ordered and paid for two ! The rest were just corners behind the courtain ! Horrible. The parking should be free and close to the apartment. It was almost 3 km away and there was no access with the car to the appartment. We have to carry all the suitcases so far away. No space, no room for family. Never more !!
