Kain and his family welcomed us to their beautiful property over New Years and we loved how close it was to the mountain for skiing. Special mention to the wonderful staff who were so kind and helpful. We fell in love with the entire village vibe that Nozawa Onsen offers. It’s a truly the most special place. Being able to walk everywhere was a huge bonus, there were so many great restaurants close by.
Everything was great, the kitchen area can get busy at meal times however just means you get to chat to lots of different guests.

The place was super clean despite many of the facilities being shared. The staff were also so approachable, friendly and helpful. They even offered us a lift to the main bus terminal at checkout because of the rain and luggage.
Nothing I didn’t like, just to be aware its a short bus trip to the slopes. Also due to wooden floors, you can hear your neighbours easily.

shared bathroom and toilets. room heating was very dry but a wet towel in front of the heater helped.
