Sakurasou Lodge

clean and spacious rooms, nice hosts, good dining room space, dinner table, kitchen well equipped including 2 fridges and stuff to cook with and heat up with, lounge room, laundry use for free (during certain hours). location was good.

It was like staying at a hostel but better with clean, spacious and nice rooms but with all the other usual hostel issues - mouldy bathroom, wee on toilet floor, young adults not deciding to change toilet paper (in any of the toilets) and not put away dishes, curly hair on toilet seat. Not the accomodation itself, but just the guest demographics and reflective of good pricing (and nothing else was available to book). No Japanese guests stayed here so you miss an authentic stay if that's what you are after.
