HostelBed and Retreat Phitsanulok

The property is very clean. Sunny, the owner is very kind and welcoming. I did not meet her when I checked in but she waited for me in the evening to greet me and see if everything is okay. She was also very kind to give recommendations.

The hostel is located in an authentic wooden house. The common sleeping area is divided into small cubicles, where you feel private and safe. Each bed has a fan, power sockets, and a reading light. In the common area, there is free drinking water, a fridge, a kettle, and free tea. There are several tables where you can comfortably eat. On the second floor, there is a wonderful terrace with a view of the Nan River and a very comfortable hammock, in which I spent a considerable amount of time. The bathroom is clean, with a shower that has hot water. On the second floor, there is also a place to hang your laundry after washing. It's no more than a 15-minute walk to the city's main attractions, and there is a shop and a café close to the hostel. The host, Sunny, was very kind to me. Right at check-in, she showed me around the hostel and sent me a list of her favorite places in the city to visit. I was very happy with my stay at this hostel and recommend it to all visitors.

Sunny was an amazing host making us feel welcome in her home. She was a great help for local information. The house cat was very cute and friendly. Good relaxing balcony with hammock. Good value for money

The place is very nice and the owner is truly kind — she helped us a lot, and her cat is really special. The host also has a great memory and remembers everything you tell her from the day before 😊. It was my first time staying in a place with a shared bathroom, and honestly, I’m used to higher hygiene standards, but for a hostel it’s acceptable. The bathroom was full of mosquitoes — it really needs a net, which could easily be fixed in 10 minutes. The beds were extremely hard for me, and I’m not used to that. The price was low, of course, but the room gets extremely hot during the day, even after lunch, so it’s almost impossible to stay inside. We always went out to nearby cafés because the house becomes very warm and there’s no air conditioning. It’s a unique place, but not for me. Having air conditioning is important for safety too — I don’t want to risk catching a mosquito-borne illness.
